Lake knew he could leave it all to Rosie, so he relaxed, going over to the dining table to sit down. Unlike the stools, the chairs were padded and had a supporting back rest, the choice was obvious.
He didn't mind the stools at first but his back had started to ache recently whenever he sat on them, he couldn't say if it was the uncomfortable kitchen stools, the exercise he had gotten recently, or the baby growing too fast.
Most likely all three.
Rosie did handle everything, she also tagged along with them to Doctor Perez's office.
The doctor wasn't at all pleased to see them, reminding them that all they needed to do was call and he would drive down to wherever he was needed - it wasn't like he was doing much else.
Rosie wore a devious expression as she held on tightly to the report, the only one who had learned the baby's gender.
Lake just shot her a look from the front seat, knowing that she would be insufferable for the rest of the week but unable to help his smile.
