The Hongmeng Gem said, "I have never gone inside a nine cycle world, I have only seen them from the outside, but I more or less know that nine cycle worlds are not ordinary things.
"In theory, a nine cycle world should only be stronger in power than an eight cycle world, but I always feel that a nine cycle world has something more to it."
Lin Moyu replied, "I have had a similar feeling. I was not sure before, but now that you mention it, it seems that is indeed the case. Tell me in detail about the situation with nine cycle worlds. Don't be afraid of being wrong, just say whatever you know."

Worlds above seven cycles were far fewer.

Lin Moyu murmured softly, as if realizing something.
The Hongmeng Gem asked, "Master, what have you thought of?"
Lin Moyu did not answer that directly, but instead asked, "In each world, how many experts of the same realm as the Great Venerates are there?"
The Hongmeng Gem had never considered that question.
Now that Lin Moyu asked, it thought about it for a moment and then cried out in shock, "Nine. In any given world, regardless of its strength, the number of Great Venerate level experts is at most nine."
Lin Moyu said, "No exceptions?"
The Hongmeng Gem shook its head.
"Either fewer than nine, or exactly nine, but never more than nine."
Within a given world, regardless of its strength, only a few Great Venerates could exist at the same time.
Only when one Great Venerate fell would that Great Venerate's position become vacant, allowing another to rise and fill it.
If that logic were extended to what lay outside the worlds, might there be a corresponding rule there as well?
Outside the worlds, only nine nine cycle worlds could be accommodated.
Even if one of those nine cycle worlds turned into a remnant, it would still occupy a nine cycle "slot."
Or, to put it another way, from the time the first world evolved until the Great Annihilation finally broke out completely, there could only ever be nine nine cycle worlds inside all of existence.
It was also possible that nine cycle worlds were in fact the counters for the Great Annihilation.
In order to confirm his guess, Lin Moyu asked further, "As for the very first nine cycle world did its world remnant still exist?"
The Hongmeng Gem thought it over.
"Yes, it existed. At least before I entered the Chaotic Ancient Desolation, it still existed."
Lin Moyu then asked, "What about the last nine cycle world to be born? What was its state at that time?"
"Let me think."
The Hongmeng Gem searched through its memories for a good while before saying, "At that time, it had just met its ninth great tribulation. It had no Supreme and could only head toward destruction after the tribulation."
Softly, Lin Moyu said, "It seems my guess is correct. These nine cycle worlds are more like the counters of the Great Annihilation."
The Hongmeng Gem did not understand.
"What kind of counters?"
Lin Moyu explained, "The Great Annihilation of all worlds will arrive after the ninth nine cycle world has gone through all of its great tribulations. If nine cycle worlds are not counters, then what are they?"
The Hongmeng Gem asked, "Then what about your Yu God World, Master?"
Lin Moyu stretched lazily.
"More or less, it is also a counter."
