Chapter 485 - Chapter 485 - Another One

Leyvi and Anda arrived at Bellion's house not long after and rang the bell.

They did not have to wait long before someone opened the door.

A lady with a long, thick braid stood at the entrance.

"Oh, it's Madam Anda and… her husband. Why have you come here?" Kiyara said, momentarily forgetting Leyvi's name.

"Kiyara, we're here to see your husband. Can you go fetch him?" Anda said casually.

"Alright. Wait a minute." Kiyara turned around, but stopped halfway.

"Hus… husband? Madam, we… we haven't reached that stage yet…" Kiyara blushed.

"You're already living in his house and he still hasn't made a move on you?" Anda shook her head in disbelief.

"Well… I live here to help him as an assistant… not for that kind of thing… we sleep in different rooms…" Kiyara fidgeted. With Leyvi present, she felt even more embarrassed talking about this.

"Leyvi, why don't you talk some sense into Bellion? Teach him how to be a man. They clearly like each other, yet he's still so passive. Poor Kiyara, you must be expecting something to happen every day, right?" Anda teased.

"No, no, no! You're wrong, Madam. I'm not expecting anything!" Kiyara clumsily denied, waving her hands in panic.

Anda showed a smile that clearly said she did not believe her. Then she began giving Kiyara advice on making more small skin contact with Bellion.

Previously, Kiyara had needed to spend more time around him just to make him accustomed to her presence. The fact that she could now live in his house already meant great progress.

Now, the principle remained the same. She needed to initiate more skinship, innocent ones first of course, considering how dense Bellion was. This was to make him more familiar and comfortable with it. Once these small interactions became normal, Kiyara could gradually aim for more intimate skin contact and eventually conquer his body.

Kiyara's eyes shone brilliantly upon hearing Anda's words of wisdom. She suddenly realized that his unfamiliarity with physical closeness might have been the reason she had been thrown under the bed that time. Determination ignited within her as she resolved to overcome his weakness.

Leyvi sighed inwardly.

Anda, we're here to meet Bellion for an important matter, not attend a matchmaking and love advice session.

In the end, Leyvi still had to wait until the two ladies were done with their private conversation.

Only thirty minutes later did Kiyara finally bring Bellion out from his basement. Leyvi and Anda were then invited inside.

"What brings you here, Leyvi?" Bellion asked, adjusting his seat.

"You know they're trying to exhaust the grand formation's energy, right? I have no doubt in the strength of the barrier itself, but I'm worried about the power supply. Can it last until we go home if they keep attacking like this?" Leyvi went straight to the point.

"I see. You're worried about my energy source. That concern is reasonable. With so many cultivators attacking all at once, the barriers require a tremendous amount of energy to operate continuously." Bellion nodded, pausing slightly.

"They probably investigated this area thoroughly and found no spirit stone mine or any other reliable energy source that I could use to power the grand formation." He continued calmly.

"So they chose this tactic. It is indeed the best course of action, given the information they have. But honestly, I'm quite disappointed. I was hoping they would use the strongest attacks they could muster. That way, I could test the true performance of my grand formation." Bellion sighed.

Leyvi and Anda's mouths twitched.

Just how confident is this guy when it comes to formations? What if it fails?

"Then what are you using to power the grand formation? How long will it last?" Leyvi asked, his expression serious.

Bellion did not answer immediately. He seemed to be weighing something in his mind. He stood up and began pacing slowly around the room, occasionally glancing at Leyvi and Anda.

Naturally, neither of them pressed him. They simply waited in silence.

After all, this clearly involved his deepest secrets, and such things were not easily shared.

They would not be offended even if Bellion decided not to reveal it.

"Kiyara, can I show them? You were the one who found it in the first place, so it should be your decision." Bellion suddenly asked.

Anda smiled inwardly. With this, she already knew the outcome.

"I trust Madam Anda as much as I trust you." Kiyara replied without hesitation.

"Alright. Then it's decided. Leyvi, Madam Anda, please follow me to the basement." Bellion turned and led the way.

Leyvi was speechless.

Bellion, you really don't know that Kiyara has already been completely pandawashed. Any decision involving Anda will always end in the panda's favor.

Previously, Anda had used this same advantage to gain the authority to decide who could enter the city to fill the extra portal slots, which she then used to expand her network of connections. Princess Waniwani was one of them, and by far the most influential.

Now, this advantage manifested once again, all on its own.

As the husband of the panda villainess, Leyvi could only watch from the sidelines and enjoy the benefits her schemes brought. As long as she did not harm innocent people, anything else was fair game.

The husband and wife followed Bellion down the hidden pathway.

"This basement is deeper than I expected." Anda remarked.

Leyvi already knew about the massive basement beneath Bellion's house, but he had never been able to see what lay inside. Bellion's formations were advanced enough to block even his spiritual sense from sneaking in.

"Haha. I need a large space for my array and formation workshop after all. This is normal." Bellion replied.

Anda nodded. Later, she might need to expand Sawi's workplace. Before entering the Mystic Realm, she could only handle arrays, not formations. But it had been over five years now. She might have already begun inheriting her ancestor's formation legacy, which meant Sawi would probably require a much larger workspace in the future.

A few moments later, the four arrived at the basement.

The instant Leyvi stepped inside, he felt a familiar energy.

In the center of the vast underground chamber, a massive vein of flowing energy, riddled with countless branches, was suspended within a cubic forcefield. The luminous current pulsed rhythmically from the core outward, as if being drawn in every direction at once.

"Spiritual Vein!" Leyvi and Anda exclaimed simultaneously.

They had not expected Bellion's power source to be a Spiritual Vein, the ultimate energy source itself.

No wonder he showed no concern over the relentless attacks outside. With this supplying his grand formation, the three factions could attack for years and still only dream of exhausting their reserves.

"Oh? You two know about this wonderful energy source?" Bellion asked in surprise. Kiyara looked equally astonished.

"What the heck! You don't know?" Leyvi and Anda shot back, even more shocked.

"So you really know. Haha, great." Bellion laughed, clearly delighted. "This energy source is incredible. Not only is it excellent for cultivation, but the amount of energy it provides is simply massive. Even if those outside keep attacking nonstop for a few years, I doubt they could drain it. Still, it gave me quite a bit of trouble. It behaves more like a spiritual entity, so I couldn't touch it using ordinary means. I had to create a special formation just to contain it. Hopefully, it will last for a long time."

Leyvi and Anda quickly recalled that Spiritual Veins were not public knowledge.

In the Cloud Continent, information about Spiritual Veins was strictly classified, and it was likely the same in the Protogaea Continent. Kiyara was merely a formation expert from a sect, not a royal like Dastan, so it was perfectly normal for her to be unaware of such secrets.

Leyvi and Anda could not help but sweat.

It was a good thing they had kept this a secret. If not, they would have been hunted because of it. Even without the portal appearing here, all those factions would have come attacking all the same.

Without wasting time, Leyvi explained what a Spiritual Vein was and what it meant to possess one.

Both Bellion and Kiyara's expressions changed as they heard the explanation. They became somewhat terrified. They realized the gravity of the situation.

They had thought this was simply a huge amount of energy that would eventually run out. They had not expected it to produce endless energy. Of course the world would go crazy over this.

Bellion did not mind getting attacked here. They all had the same cultivation level. But if he was exposed with a Spiritual Vein back home, the ones who would come and hunt him would be of much higher cultivation levels. There was no way he could handle them. He might even be betrayed by those closest to him.

Bellion sighed. "It is a good thing that I showed this to you. If I brought this back and showed it to anyone else ignorantly, I would probably be dead."

He paused, then made a sudden decision.

"Leyvi, since you know more information about this, you must know how to deal with it, right? So, if you want this Spiritual Vein, you can take it. I do not dare to bring this with me anymore."

Leyvi was dumbfounded.

A free Spiritual Vein? Just like that?
