Yuuto soared through the sky, the wyverns flying in formation around him.
Then, at the edge of his vision, the air rippled.
A faint shimmer of light gathered beside him, forming a holographic projection. The image sharpened, resolving into the figure of Renard.
"You were most splendid in your display, my lord," Renard said smoothly, his voice ringing through the projection. "Putting those arrogant creatures in their place so decisively. Your choice of words, and the way you handled matters so masterfully. I doubt there could have been a more perfect execution."
Yuuto did not slow his ascent.
"Your words of praise are most welcome, Renard," he replied calmly. "And as I am certain you already know, the completion of this city's subjugation is now in your hands. I trust you will not disappoint me, or my father."
Renard bowed deeply, one hand pressed to his chest.
"I would not dare," he said. "In fact, I would stake my life on it."
