Chapter 985 - Chapter 985: The Whistle Signals the Beginning of Death

With the idea of raising an enemy to consolidate power now firmly planted in Ross's mind—and the Decepticons visibly thrown into chaos—he wasted no time issuing swift and decisive orders.

In an instant, squadrons of fighter jets took to the skies once more, and elite special forces received the command to enter the city.

Meanwhile, William, watching the Decepticon ships steadily return through the space bridge, asked Sunday, "Any of their ships or fighters shot down?"

"Only one ship was destroyed by Hulk. After that, the Decepticons deliberately increased their hover altitude."

"Deploy explosive drones. I want every downed or stranded Decepticon ship and fighter completely obliterated."

"Understood, SIR."

William had sent Optimus Prime and the Autobots back to Cybertron not just to stir up trouble but also to lure the Decepticons into returning—ensuring that Earth wouldn't be left with alien spacecraft or tech the Americans might reverse-engineer to enter space.

As for whether the Autobots could defeat the remaining and returning Decepticons on Cybertron, William thought for a moment and said, "Contact Yondu. Ask if he's hired anyone to avenge what happened on Centauri IV. If he has, see if he's open to a mercenary job."

After receiving Sunday's response, William casually teleported another healing charm to Abomination, then focused his attention back on Nemesis Prime.

At that moment, Nemesis Prime—having heard Soundwave's report that Cybertron was in full-scale civil war—realized Earth was no longer a viable target. He immediately began ordering part of his forces to return.

His plan was to regroup all Decepticons, crush Optimus Prime and the Autobots with overwhelming power, and then return to Earth to exact revenge.

But William had no intention of letting that happen.

Before he could act, however, a rainbow beam suddenly shot down from the sky, illuminating the area where Nemesis Prime stood.

With his sharp eyes, William immediately saw a tall figure in leather armor and a hood—Angela—slicing through the air with dual blades. With a single strike, she decapitated Nemesis Prime.

"Cut all comms," William ordered Sunday, then teleported directly to Nemesis Prime's corpse, where Angela stood calmly.

Frowning, he asked, "Are you here to help, or to steal the Decepticons' space bridge tech?"

"Help, of course," Angela said with a grin. "And maybe propose a little trade while we're at it."

She sheathed her blades and stepped back several meters behind William, smiling mischievously at the Decepticons on the rooftop who hadn't yet reacted. "Deal with those goons first. Then we talk."

"Tch." William didn't even blink at the remaining Decepticons. Aside from the Fallen and Quintessa, the rest were meaningless to him.

But Angela showing interest in teleportation tech did raise some red flags in his mind.

With a thought, Nemesis Prime's severed head vanished from the rooftop, teleported to Planet X-17—where Megatron's remains were kept—as a souvenir.

Then, the Yaka Arrow William had snatched from Yondu appeared in the air.

A sharp whistle echoed through the sky. The arrow, trailing red light like a meteor, pierced straight through the nearest Decepticon's head.

Then it shifted direction and shot toward the others.

In seconds, the rooftop and surrounding 100 meters were aglow with streaks of red light.

Any Decepticon within William's psychic range—about two kilometers, if fully unleashed—had zero chance of escape. But he deliberately limited the sweep to a smaller radius.

Still, the display was terrifying.

Even Hulk and Abomination were shaken by what they saw.

As for the Decepticon ships still hovering in the sky—they panicked. Realizing the battle was lost, they abandoned their ground troops and fled through the space bridge in a frenzy.

The final ship vanished.

With a whistle, the Yaka Arrow zipped back toward William and hovered before him. He casually caught it in one hand.

He turned to look at the five energy pillars of the space bridge. Power from the Space Stone surged outward, locking the devices in stasis. With another thought, he stored them all in his inventory.

Then, facing the stunned Angela, he frowned. "Alright. What trade exactly are you proposing?"

Angela shivered as she glanced at the dozens of fallen Decepticons. When she looked back at William, her eyes held a trace of fear.

"H-How do you have a Centauri whistle weapon—the Yaka Arrow? That thing's exclusive to those blue-skinned bastards."

She remembered Yondu had once visited Asgard to meet William. Her suspicion deepened. "Don't tell me Yondu gave you his most prized possession? Wait—did you steal it?"

"This thing's called a Yaka Arrow. And me? The kind of person who steals things?" William smirked, twirling the arrow in his fingers.

"There are powers in this universe so terrifying people would sell their souls just to touch them. Even your father, Odin, has bowed to that kind of force."

He raised an eyebrow and was about to continue mocking her, but Angela interrupted him.

"Shut it, you bastard!" She slammed her elbow into his stomach—only to recoil immediately as her arm went numb. A jolt of electricity surged through her body, stunning her for several seconds.

When she finally recovered, still shaken, she barked angrily, "You think I'm some clueless little girl who's never left Asgard?

What's this crap about 'power'? You mean money, right? All this roundabout nonsense for that?"

She folded her arms behind her back, subtly massaging her numb arm, and added, "I'm not here on my own. Someone wants to trade with you for the energy pillars of the space bridge."

William stared at her for several seconds, then a thought struck him—Angela wasn't just Asgardian. She had been raised by the angelic warrior women of the Tenth Realm.

"The Tenth Realm?" he asked.

If it was indeed those banished angels, exiled from the Nine Realms by Odin, this would all make sense.

Despite their relative peace and isolation, being forgotten was a bitter fate—especially for beings used to admiration and glory.

But William had no intention of giving up the space bridge tech.

After all, Asgard's Rainbow Bridge was what earned them influence across the Nine Realms. If the angels of the Tenth Realm suddenly gained similar abilities, who knew whether they'd bring peace—or war?

To William, war seemed far more likely. Even ordinary people got restless when trapped too long.

If angelic warriors—raised to conquer and glory—were suddenly given free access to other worlds, it would be a miracle if they didn't immediately start showing off their power.

Not to mention, William had a standing agreement with Odin. Until he obtained the Reality Stone, helping the Tenth Realm was one of the dumbest things he could do.

With that in mind, he snapped his fingers.

The four energy pillars he had just stored reappeared before him.

Under Angela's shocked gaze, the pillars began to bend and warp, crushed by William's immense telekinetic power.
