The next day Cheng Xiao and Xu Kai woke up early and got prepared for the office. Since they slept over at the Xu mansion, Cheng Xiao had to ask Xu Xiaoli for a scarf to hide the hickeys on her neck.
"Xu Kai, do you ever think of what will happen to me the next day when you leave this on my neck?" Cheng Xiao said as she pointed at the hickeys.
"Do you know how many men are eyeing you in the company, it exactly why I need to make them, so they know that you are taken." Xu Kai replied.
"Speaking of which, can you cover here for a sec?" Xu Kai asked patting the seat next to him.
"Yes!" Cheng Xiao said as she took the seat next to him.
"I know that we didn't start on a normal basis, we did date and just got married. I didn't ask for your opinion back then, but I would love to ask you now. DO YOU WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH ME?" Xu Kai asked and got on his pulling a ring out of his pocket.
"I will!" Cheng Xiao said and tears started pouring out of her eyes.
Xu Kai took the ring from the box and placed it onto her finger; he placed a gentle kiss on the hand with the ring and looked up. He used his thumb to wipe the tears that had started to fall. Cheng Xiao gave him a smile and lifted her hand to look at the ring; the design was very beautiful.
The ring was platinum silver and had vines with leaves with blue sapphires and at the center stood a diamond stone making the that sparkled more when light reflected on it. She fell more and more in love with the ring, she was a designer herself but this just took her breath away.
"I really love it." Cheng Xiao said and looked at her husband who was waiting for approval.
"It just takes my breath away when I look at it." Cheng Xiao said.
"I designed it." Xu Kai said.
"You did?" Cheng Xiao asked in shock.
"When?" She asked.
"Last year, when I was ready to confess my feeling for you, but I saw you were not ready and would have said no. I waited to see that maybe you would fall in love with me, but you were always so formal with me. Even when stayed over, you never did anything extra, at first, I thought to let you go but when I saw you with another man, my heart could not take it and I snapped and did what I did." Xu Kai said and sat down next to her.
"I am glad you did not let me go. I did want to fall in love with you, but then I would always be reminded that you were my boss and nothing good would come from it. I would be reminded of the social class between us, how my sister suffered and just built a wall that was so strong that even I couldn't break it down, but you pushed and pushed and finally broke the wall. Thank you for loving me." Cheng Xiao said.
"Look at us, we were supposed to be getting ready for work, but we got all mushy." Xu Kai said causing Cheng Xiao to laugh.
"I am sorry the proposal wasn't grand." Xu Kai apologized.
"No, I actually liked it. I would be embarrassed had you done it in front of people." Cheng Xiao replied.
"I will make it up to you, I promise to give you the grandest wedding ceremony you will ever have." Xu Kai said.
"I will only get married once." Cheng Xiao said.
"Oh, right!" Xu Kai said and scratched the back of his head.
