Tens of thousands of Burnley fans looked on in disappointment.
There was no doubt—
The one thing Burnley fans least wanted to see had just happened.
But no matter what—
Burnley had to stay focused on the game.
After all, the match was far from over.
There was still plenty of time left.
And if Burnley wanted to stay in the Premier League—
Every player on the pitch had to give it their all and keep fighting.
After the Restart
Burnley's players wasted no time.
They immediately launched a fierce offensive toward Chelsea's goal.
This time—
Midfielder Ashley Westwood received the ball.
Faced with pressure from both Cesc Fabregas and N'Golo Kante—
Westwood didn't choose to pass.
At that moment, he was brimming with confidence in his individual skills.
With a beautiful Marseille turn, Westwood managed to break through the interference of the two Chelsea midfielders!
But the good times didn't last long.
Just as Westwood was outlining his next move—
Davide Zappacosta and Marcos Alonso appeared in front of him.
The two Chelsea players lunged in with tackles almost simultaneously—
Leaving Westwood no time to react.

The ball at Westwood's feet was cleanly intercepted by Zappacosta.
Another chance for Chelsea to counterattack!
After taking control of the ball, Zappacosta immediately sent it down the left to Eden Hazard.
Hazard didn't hesitate—
He played a first-time cross into the box.
The ball flew perfectly toward Romelu Lukaku.
Inside Burnley's penalty area—
Lukaku rose above everyone and got the first touch.
But just as he was about to strike—
Burnley's defensive rock, James Tarkowski, suddenly stepped in front of him.
Credit where it's due—
Tarkowski's defensive ability was outstanding.
He immediately got into position—
And successfully shut down Lukaku's shooting opportunity!
A brilliant piece of defending.
It was a thrilling moment for the Burnley fans in the stadium.
Because at that level—
A critical defensive play like this was no less important than scoring a goal.
Tarkowski's perfectly timed intervention had just saved Burnley from conceding again.
The home crowd erupted into loud applause for him!
But for Burnley—
Solid defending wasn't their top priority anymore.
Their main goal was to attack!
They needed to hit back at Chelsea as soon as possible.
So, after regaining possession, Burnley quickly passed the ball out to Johann Berg Gudmundsson on the wing.
Gudmundsson had a clear speed advantage—
And his physicality was impressive.
He wasn't afraid of any kind of body-to-body confrontation.
Marking Gudmundsson on Chelsea's side was Zappacosta.
Zappacosta's fitness was also decent—
But compared to Gudmundsson, he was slightly outmatched.
As expected—
In this one-on-one duel, Zappacosta was completely overpowered!
He couldn't stop Gudmundsson at all.
Moments later—
The ball was passed cleanly to Westwood again, this time in midfield...
