"Ais, I'm sorry I'm late."
"Don't worry, I got here too early."
"No, really. I was busy with something and ended up running late." I should have arrived half an hour ago. I was pretty late! Fortunately, Ais didn't seem too bothered by it.
I sat down, and one of the waitresses came over to take our order.
"Will you be ordering now?" the woman asked Ais. Ais's face turned red.
'She must have been waiting for a long time.' I smiled and told the woman, "Yes, we'll order. Can you bring me a large mug of beer and a portion of roasted meat? That's enough for me. And you, Ais?"
"Bring me a portion of roasted meat as well."
"You're not going to drink anything?" I asked. "Don't you like beer?"
"Bring me a red fruit juice, please," Ais told the woman. "I don't really like drinking alcohol."
"Oh, I didn't know that," I said, clearing my throat. Both of us fell silent. It was so awkward that Ais's face began to turn slightly red.
So, I decided to start a conversation.
"So, how have you been?"
"Huh?"
"I mean… the Loki Familia. How's everyone doing?"
"Everyone's fine. Bete has fully recovered, and we've been exploring the dungeon almost every day."
"Oh. Unfortunately, I don't have much time for that. And whenever I do go to the dungeon, people recognize me and start asking for autographs."

"Could you give me an autograph?" She handed me a copy of the first volume of Romeo and Juliet along with a pen. I signed her book with a smile, but the moment she walked away, I sighed.
"Haha," Ais laughed. "You really hate being recognized, don't you?"
"At first I thought it was cool, but nowadays it's unbearable."
"Have you ever thought about wearing a disguise or something like that?"
"Hm, that might actually be a good idea."
We kept chatting for a while longer about my fans and my books until our food arrived.
Once it did, we talked about all sorts of things—though nothing about dating, marriage, or anything that might make me nervous. After more than an hour, our plates were finally empty.
"Phew~~" I sighed. "I'm full. I thought it'd be a small portion of meat, but it was huge."
"I'm really full too."
"So, what should we do now?"
"Huh?" Ais looked confused by my question.
"Do you want to head home already? I was thinking of taking a walk around the city. You have something you want to tell me, right? We could go somewhere a little more private." I tossed out the bait.
I had the feeling she might give up on going through with her plans.
"Ah…" Ais froze for a moment. "Sure, we can walk a bit." Her lips curved into a smile as she stood up. I got up too and paid for our food and drinks before leaving the restaurant with her.
As soon as we stepped outside, a crowd of people rushed over, asking for autographs.
"Luan, please sign this!"

"Luan, give me an autograph! I'll do anything for one!"
I sighed and grabbed Ais's hand.
"Huh?" She looked very surprised, but I didn't care.
I activated my teleportation ability and took her somewhere quiet where no one could bother us: the rooftop of a random building far from Orario's center.
"Wow, you scared me," she said, visibly nervous. Then she sighed. "You could've warned me first."
"Sorry about that," I said, sitting down by the edge. As soon as I sat, the wind picked up, and Ais's hair began to sway. I looked at her and felt my heart race.
'She's really beautiful. I can't wait to take her to bed.'
"Luan… I…"
The moment those words left her lips, I held my breath.
'Is she going to do it? Is she going to confess?'
Ais turned toward me dramatically, and my heartbeat grew even faster.
She took a step forward and sat down next to me.
Once seated, she let out a sigh, her cheeks turning slightly red.
Then her lips slowly parted.
"Luan, I am—"
