"Doreen-sama, the other day I accompanied Robby-sama to Jones-sensei's house. When I saw how terribly shabby the house was and how poorly he seemed to be eating, I thought there was no way such a person could properly teach Robby-sama magic. I was wrong. I am ashamed of my lack of insight. I must apologize to the teacher."
Cass spoke earnestly to Mother, but she had no reason to apologize at all. I needed to smooth things over before she went to apologize.

"Um~ Sorry to interrupt while you're all excited, but is it really such a big deal that I can use magic? Aren't there quite a few people who can?"
When I asked, both Mother and Cass turned to me at the same time and stared intensely (their gazes were terrifying…).
"Yes, there are many people who can use magic. But Robby, the important thing is that *you* can use it now!"
Mother declared this with raised eyebrows and such intensity that the veins in her eyes were showing. Beside her, Cass nodded repeatedly.
