Chapter 266 - Storage Device

Chapter 266 Storage Device

"Oh my, you were able to invent this so quickly!" Aleshia said, impressed. She knew how difficult it would have been to create a device like this one, especially since she had seen the one her previous school used.

"It wasn't a huge deal, but it was somewhat challenging," Lucia chuckled. "Fortunately, I remembered some things about this type of device, which made it easier to put everything together. Even now, as I try to recall the details, my memories are somewhat hazy. Still, I managed to figure it all out," she said, shrugging with pride in her accomplishment.

Aleshia was agape with surprise to learn that something like Lucia could have learned of these items, considering it said it was unable to leave the labyrinth. Shaking off her thoughts, she asked, "Do you think this new device will be ready for use?" She hesitated before adding, "No, never mind, it won't be of much use. Although we could probably use it to store information like books if we ever manage to get our hands on some." Aleshia suggested.

"Oh, books!" Lucia exclaimed excitedly. "There were so many in my labyrinth, but that is a good idea." She glanced at the status of the storage device and added, "If I improve this thing, I could probably hold enough for an entire book—no, an entire library!" Pumped up at the thought, Lucia immediately began brainstorming ways to enhance the little device.

"That is quite the enthusiasm," Aleshia chuckled. "Are you at a good stopping point?" She asked, "I've been eager to start curing if you're up for it. I've been thinking about what Rebel mentioned earlier and believe that getting everyone back as soon as possible would be for the best," Aleshia said with sympathy in her voice.

"Erm," Lucia hesitated but soon said, "Yes, I think I'm at a good point where I can stop for now. I need a break from this. Suppose we can start curing some more people right now." Lucia assured. She jumped onto Aleshia's head and waited for her to start moving toward the people they needed to heal.

After their arrival, Aleshia turned to Lucia and asked a question, summoning the curing circle to help illustrate her point, although she didn't activate it. "Hey, Lucia, there's something strange about this circle. It won't stay when I do this alone. I think it needs at least two people to handle it. Look," Aleshia said as she activated the circle, which quickly began to fade.

"So this is what happens when only one person tries to control the circle," Lucia murmured.
