Chapter 301 Performer
"Yes, I have one," Brian answered as he took out a bag and handed it to Tanner. Once Tanner had the bag in his hands, he began filling it with monster meat. After packing the meat into the bag, he passed it back to Brian, who secured it in his armor. After thanking Tanner for his help, Brian rejoined the rest of the party.
"Alright, now that we've got that sorted, I'm going to head back to camp. Remember to look out for one another, alright?" Brian said as the group walked back to the main building. After receiving nods of affirmation, he exited the guild and stepped into the street, where he quickly disappeared into the crowd.
"So, since we have some time on our hands, why don't we do something fun?" Kelly suggested to the group.
"Ooh ooh, pick me!" Cecelia clamored, raising her hand as high as she could. Kelly nodded, letting her suggest an activity. Cecelia declared, "Why don't we go see some entertainment, like a circus? I heard there's one happening soon, and the flyer I saw said it would be free!"
"Where did the flyer say it would be?" Kelly asked.
"I believe it was near the town square," Cecelia replied, sounding uncertain.
Kelly turned to Aleshia and asked, "Does that sound interesting to you? Would you like to go?" She was leaving the choice up to Aleshia.
Aleshia thought for a moment before shrugging. "Well, if we have some time to kill, as you said, I wouldn't mind a distraction."
"Then I guess we should start heading to the town square," Kelly resolved. Meanwhile, no one asked Stella for her opinion, but she didn't make a fuss and followed the three of them as they left the guild.
After walking down the main street and navigating a few bends and turns, the group arrived at the town square. Aleshia watched families stroll about with their children while vendors loudly shouted their wares.
Suddenly, Cecelia exclaimed in awe, "Wow, hey, look at that!" She was pointing at a performer juggling knives. The performer skillfully tossed the knives into the air, the knives moving with strange precision as they flew.
As the knives flew through the air, he invited those watching to throw fruits he had collected in baskets at the juggling knives. Some hesitated, unsure of what would happen, but a child watching the act thought it would be fun to try. As the fruit flew through the air, one of the knives, seemingly guided by an unseen force, sliced through the thrown fruit, even though it was not in the original path of the juggling knives. It was a spectacular display that left the crowd amazed.
