It was a nice early morning. Inside the hotel, Tre walks out of the bathroom still yawning. He realizes something then instantly leans back dodging a punch from Toby.
Tre- WHAT ARE YOU DOING I JUST WOKE UP!
Toby- I was just making sure you wasn't lacking.(Damnit he was still able to dodge that.)
Tre- Would you relax I didn't even eat anyth...
He looks towards the kitchen area to see Jalaan grabbing two toaster strudels out the toaster.
Tre- WTF JALAAN! THOSE ARE THE LAST TWO!
Jalaan- I know you're not talking, WHEN YOU ATE ALL THE CORNBREAD!
Toby- You did eat all the cornbread.
Tre- Bruh, I can just buy more cornbread.
Jalaan- Well why your at it, buy more toaster strudels too.
Tre and Jalaan stare at each other in seriousness as Jalaan takes a bite out of the strudel.
Tre- Now I feel like fighting somebody.
Toby smiles in excitement.
Tre- Not you.
Toby dropping his smile- Aw man.
Jaiven sits up and leans over the couch while rubbing his eyes before putting on his glasses.
Jaiven- Why are y'all yelling? People are trying to sleep.
Tre- Jalaan is eating the last two toaster strudels.
Jaiven immediately rises from the couch as if we wasn't just sleep ten seconds ago.
Jaiven- WTF JALAAN!
Jalaan- WHAT?! What else am I supposed to eat?
Jaiven- I don't know cereal or something. Those strudels weren't for breakfast they're snacks for us to snack on. Why do you even have two it's supposed to be one for each of us?
Jalaan while chewing- Toby didn't want his.
The two turns around to Toby making devious facial expressions of frustration.
Toby while smiling and cracking his knuckles- That's right I did it, now what?
Tre getting in a fighting stance- After what's about to happen just know, that you asked for this.
Toby while doing the same- I almost started begging.
Jaiven- We should jump him.
Tre- Nah, it'll turn into a two V two.
Brandon- How about a three V three?
The group all looks towards Brandon who just walked out of his room.
Brandon- And the losers buy both the cornbread and the toaster strudels.
Toby while raising his hand- Can we sub out toaster strudels for something else?
Jaiven and Tre- NO!
Tre- Well let's get one thing straight. Me and Jaiven are gonna be on teams against Toby and Jalaan. As for the last two we pick Brandon.
Toby- WHAT?! You can't just pick Brandon like that.
Tre- Why not he's MY older brother.
Toby- I don't care about none of that.
Brandon- Settle down you two. I'm picking who team I want to be on. And I choose Toby and Jalaan's team.
Tre- WHAT?!
Brandon- I want you to earn your victory. Besides based on what I heard Jalaan's innocent.
Jaiven- Does that look like the face of an innocent man.
Jaiven points over to Jalaan who currently has his face stuffed with strudels.
Jalaan while chewing-(Y'all so worried about me when this guy ate all the cornbread while we were sleeping.)
Tre- He's eating the last two in the pack.
Brandon- But I overheard that Toby gave one to him.
Jaiven- Yeah, but he already had one prior to that.
Brandon's expression instantly changed to a more serious one as he looks over to Jalaan.
Brandon- I'm switching teams.
Toby- Wha...
Tre starts laughing at Toby's concerned reaction.
Jaiven- Wait a second. How are we even gonna have a three V three? I thought a showdown duel could only have up to four players.
Brandon- Who said anything about a showdown duel?
Everyone stares at him in confusion.
Brandon- I was referring to...Basketball.
Everyone in unison- BASKETBALL?!
The group had went to the nearest park that had an open court available.
Toby- Why are we playing basketball? Half of these guys barely know how to play.
Tre and Jaiven- What's that supposed to mean!?
Toby- That you two suck. And that's coming from a person who's not even that good himself. So that says something.
Zay while rubbing his eyes- I don't even know why we're here.
Brandon- Is there a problem with basketball?
Toby- Actually not at all. Since we're not fighting I don't have to worry about Brandon.
Tre- Then you wouldn't also mind letting us get the ball first.
Toby while smiling menacingly- By all means go ahead.
BASKETBALL TRAINING MATCH
Team one: Tre, Jaiven, and Brandon
Team two: Toby, Jalaan, and Zay
Everyone took their places as the game was about to begin. First to five points win.(inside shots are one point and outside shots are two)
Tre- Check up.
He bounce passes the ball to Toby as he passes it back the same way. The match has begun. Tre turns to the right to pass the ball to Brandon. As soons as the ball left his fingertips it vanished.
Tre- Wha...
He realized that Toby had snatched the ball. Smiling menacingly as he heads for the basket. Both Brandon and Jaiven panics charging directly for Toby. Zay follows up behind stating that he's backing him up. Toby acknowledged him, but passed the ball off to the left. Jalaan who is still at the three point line catches the ball.
Jaiven and Brandon-(JALAAN?!)
Tre dashes towards Jalaan attempting to reach him before he shoots. Unfortunately for him, Jalaan jumps up shooting the ball before he could get there. Everyone watches as the ball falls in the basket hitting nothing but net.
Tm-One=(zero)
Tm-Two=(two)
Toby laughs diabolically before being confronted by Brandon putting his hand on Toby's shoulder.
Brandon- I saw what you did back there. You used your showdown ability.
Toby- So. [knocks hand off shoulder] You never stated we couldn't use them. Besides I'm not the only one. [starts smiling menacingly] Isn't that right...Tre?
Tre stands there with his head down. Before lifting it up revealing a smile.
Tre-(I was using my future sight earlier, not like it was on purpose or anything. But even still I wasn't able to see Toby use his finesse to grab the ball. Did it just teleport to his hand?)
Jaiven- Those guys are using their showdown abilities...Tch. We were better off dueling.
Zay- Showdown abilities, more like show off abilities.
Brandon- Alright guys let's tighten up we're on defense.
Everyone gets in their position before resuming. Tre bounce passed the ball to Toby.
Toby making the expression of a menace- You ready?
Tre- Yep, and since we're all aboard using our showdown abilities...
Jaiven and Zay- WE'RE NOT!
Tre making an expression of seriousness- I'm going all out now.
Toby more excited than ever- Bring it.
