Seeing her about to leave, Li Xiu quickly stepped in to block her. Just as he grabbed her, suddenly, a fist directly hit Li Xiu's face.
Li Xiu let out an "ah" and stumbled directly to the ground, landing awkwardly in a nearby bush, almost like a dog eating dirt.
Gu Ran was stunned for a moment and looked up to see someone pulling her into their arms.
Raising her head, she saw Gu Moli holding her protectively with one hand, staring coldly at Li Xiu on the ground in the dark of night.
Li Xiu realized what had happened and looked up only to notice it was Gu Moli.
At first, he was a bit scared, but then again, he was one of Li Tong's people, and having heard Li Tong belittle Gu Moli relentlessly, he decided not to care what others said about how terrifying Gu Moli was. He quickly steadied himself and stood up, brushing the dust off his clothes, glared at Gu Moli, and pointedly cursed, "Gu Moli, what are you doing?"
Gu Moli narrowed his eyes at this bold fellow.
