When the convoy finally stopped outside, she closed the window and happily went down to greet Nan Mufeng.

As soon as the door opened, she saw Nan Mufeng standing outside. He was wearing thick winter clothes with fine snowflakes landing on his head, his ears red and swollen from frostbite. He looked extremely, extremely tired.
"Honey, you're finally back. I knew you would come back..."
Jian Xi threw herself into his arms, sobbing loudly.
The loud cries pierced through the night's tranquility. A group of rough men looked at her, at a loss.
Nan Mufeng assumed she had been worried for too long and was feeling aggrieved, and he gently comforted her, "Alright, alright, don't cry, I'm back now, safe and sound."
"You're finally back."
"It's all over," Nan Mufeng sighed wearily, remembering the terrifying ordeal in the snowfield. They almost didn't make it out.
Jian Xi closed her eyes, finally able to relax, "I was really worried about you all."
