"Foolish! Why didn't you report earlier?" The Ice Queen berated Beite, coughing frequently due to illness.
Beite drooped his head: "I wanted to make it public after we succeeded. Who knew we'd be watched!"
"You should never have touched Nan Mufeng!" the Queen scolded.
Beite regretted it now; if he hadn't crossed Nan Mufeng, he wouldn't have been cornered, destroying his base.
"The whole world is watching how I punish you. Tell me, what should I do?" The Queen questioned, too angry for her own good, and coughed fiercely again.
"Your Majesty, you cannot kill me," Beite urgently said, "It's all Joanna's mishandling! You should hold her responsible."
"Ha, you and Joanna make quite the pair." The Queen sneered, "Joanna has already run away."
Beite's face changed dramatically: "What? She dared to run!"
