The mind is the ultimate solution to everything.
I have always been trapped. When I was young, I was trapped by fear.
As I grew older, I became trapped by death.
I am always trapped.
But today, what traps me are strange creatures—giant spiders approaching me.
I made all possible calculations, thought of using all group skills, but found it futile. I might only be able to take down half of them.
I considered fleeing, but there was no chance to do so.
Cursed corpses, why did they take so long to evolve? Why did they invade my inner realm now? Why did they discover the barracks now?
And why did I see Yama naked?
Yama.
Hahaha, I will use Yama.
Summon.
Summoning time: 25 minutes.
The summoning duration increased—was it because my level rose?
She stood before me in a long black dress, holding a long staff, with a wide smile on her face.
"Why did you summon me? What do you want?" she said, her voice dripping with arrogance.
This girl knows I'm in trouble and wants to take advantage of the situation.
"I don't want anything."
She looked at me, shocked.
"Then why did you summon me here?" she said, her voice now tinged with tension.
"Because you have the right to witness our end." I said this as I raised my sword and moved toward the gathering spiders, which were inexplicably standing still, watching.
I moved with slow steps.
"Your end, not ours. When you die, I will be freed and will kill them all," she said, laughing.
"You are naïve to the extreme," I said without looking at her, moving faster towards the spiders.
"Why do you say that?" she asked, puzzled.
"Extreme speed," I shouted at her.
"When I die, you will understand why you are naïve and why it is our end."
Hahaha.
I was laughing while running, feeling close to death. I knew this girl might be foolish enough to let me die.
But what does it matter? I will die with my sword raised, taking a few heads with me.
If I am to die, I will take some beautiful souls as a gift to the King of Hell, to end my journey as Hell's emissary.
Warrior's Cry!
I shouted at the top of my lungs.
"Haaaaaa!"
Sky's Light!
A light descended from the sky onto the gathering spiders, injuring many of them severely.
As I did this, I whispered, "Mana Swords."
Over 70 large blue swords emerged around me.
The swords flew towards the spiders at full speed. I aimed for every ten swords to hit one target.
"Fire Meteors!"
Many meteors rained down from the sky onto the spiders, though some managed to evade them.
After all this, only ten spiders died, with 25 remaining.
So I summoned a large hammer to my hand from the inner realm.
I jumped and whispered, "Crushing Blow."
A new warrior skill I learned—it causes group damage.
I landed in the midst of the spiders with a powerful blow to one, which couldn't escape due to the crowding.
It was completely crushed, and a blue wave emanated from the ground, hitting many of them.
I summoned my sword again.
"Cutting Strike."
I cut off many of their limbs, but more than three spiders quickly approached me.
I pushed them away with Iris's Strike.
Then I found an injured spider, placed my hand on its wound, and whispered, "Thbia's Curse."
A tamer's skill I learned at level 45—it makes any beast attack its allies for ten minutes.
This skill will unlock another powerful skill at level 70.
The spider started attacking the others with me.
I killed another spider after five minutes. My body ached, and my wounds worsened.
Health: 50/100.
The spiders attacked intelligently.
"Fire Flame!"
"Energy Shield!"
I placed my hand on a spider and burned its face completely.
But suddenly, I felt something pierce my back.
Why did the Energy Shield become so weak?
"Cutting Strike!"
Blood poured from my body, but I kept smiling.
I turned around and cut the damn spider that attacked me from behind in half.
Why do I always have to die from a backstab?
Health: 30/100.
My body became unbalanced, my mind started to lose clarity, and both my body and sword felt heavy.
Health: 20/100.
I closed my eyes, feeling on the brink of death, knowing it was all over.
Why am I dying here?
I haven't avenged my father or saved my mother. There are so many things I don't understand.
Why am I dying here?
I felt something lifting my body and placing me down gently.
I couldn't see anything, but I heard the spiders' screams.
So I started absorbing all the energy around me, everything I could. I had to survive.
Health: 40/100.
When I could finally open my eyes, I saw Yama had killed all the spiders and was approaching me.
I sat up properly and summoned the black sword to my hand, placing it beside me.
"Why didn't you tell me that if you die, I die too?" she said angrily.
I looked at her and smiled faintly.
"Because I love surprises," I said, then coughed.
"Be grateful I saved you," she said arrogantly.
"But I didn't ask you to."
"Are you a fool? You would have died if I hadn't."
"Yes, I knew I was dying. What's new? I'm always on the path to death."
I didn't finish my sentence before she disappeared in front of me.
I climbed a tree and decided to sleep for a while.
I woke up the next day to the sounds of many people.
