Chapter 50 - Zed

I looked at Shard, puzzled. What is this damn devil doing with him?

"I'm glad you're still alive," he said with a smile.

"I'm also glad I'm alive, but who is this with you?" I asked, looking at Zed.

"This is Zed, a powerful sorcerer I met in the first test. He stayed with me until the second test."

I glanced at the small horn on his hair. Zed noticed and gave me a strong look, but it wasn't an evil glare.

"I forgot to tell you, he's a demon, but he's not a bad demon. He has saved my life many times."

I know that not all demons are evil. There was a long period of peace, but I don't care. I will kill them all because their leader is the cause of this.

Suddenly, Khaled appeared, interrupting Shard, accompanied by a fully armored girl whose femininity was not diminished by the armor. She was tall, slightly shorter than Shard, with a well-proportioned body, carrying a large white shield and a small sword on her waist.

"Joker, this is my older sister, Hind. Now we are only missing two people," Khaled said.

After finding Shard and Zed, he added, "No, we're not missing anyone anymore," and smiled happily.

I looked at her and whispered, analyzing her stats:

Name: Hind

Specialty: Armored Warrior

Race: Human

Level: 60

Abilities: Energy Statues

This girl might be Shard's age, but her level is this high.

Indeed, I have formed a strange and strong team of geniuses.

A water sorceress who evolved her magic to ice and a hybrid who feels shy around everyone.

A dark sorcerer with rare magic and also a shapeshifter, who is actually a demon.

A regular warrior with a sword hiding great power, who reached this level in just five years.

A swift assassin warrior with a very high level for his age and who talks a lot.

A beautiful warrior at level 60, a rare type of warrior, as I read in some books, requiring great resilience.

What a crazy team.

Everyone looked at each other in astonishment.

Shard broke the silence, looking at me.

"Now I understand how you survived. You made strong friends and relied on them," he said, smiling, happy that I had friends besides him.

I quickly introduced everyone to each other. I'm always used to having people around me. I was the leader of a large gang with many people around.

So, it wasn't strange to me.

But Khaled interrupted my thoughts, looking at Zed and pointing his finger at him.

"Y...you're a demon," he said, raising his dagger and charging at Zed. When the dagger pierced Zed's body, his body turned to vapor, reappearing elsewhere.

"I am a demon and proud of it, but I do not agree with what the Demon King has done. On this decision, I will become the new Demon King and eliminate this tyrant who killed many souls with my power," Zed declared firmly, looking at us.

Shard approached and said to me, "You know my brother was killed by demons, but not all demons are to blame for that."

You are truly kind-hearted, Shard, but I am not like you. I will exterminate them all and erase them from this world completely, or I will destroy this world if necessary.

"Khaled, calm down. He is not to blame for what happened. If he thinks this way, we should only focus on avenging the Demon King," I said to Khaled as I approached him, glancing at his sister. But his dagger remained in the air until a strong blow landed on his head from his sister.

"Listen to your friends," said Hind, her voice soft and beautiful. How could a woman this smart be related to this fool?

Suddenly, a voice echoed, giving us no time to argue.

"Time for team formation is over. You have 20 seconds to decide on a team name and prepare for transfer."

Shard said, "A team name? I'm terrible at this. I'm only good for fighting."

"What about the Cloud Frogs team?" Khaled suggested with his usual silly smile, making me feel like killing him sometimes.

But another blow landed on his head.

"What a stupid name, like you," Hind said angrily.

"What do you think of the name 'Blood League'?" Lina suggested softly, then looked at the ground.

"Agreed," we all said in unison.

The voice echoed again.

"Twenty teams have been formed for the third and final test: City Defense."
