Dedication We Will Conquer This City
I said that as I looked around and saw the city gate.
"What are you going to do?" Shard asked as he looked at me.
"Follow me, and when I look at you, Shard, reveal your aura." I moved towards the gate where a group of guards was standing.
Everyone followed me.
When we approached the guards, their leader came out.
"I am the son of the Chief of the Cloud Tribe, and these are my guards." I looked at Shard, and he revealed his blue aura.
The guards trembled.
I had read about this tribe in many history books; it is an important tribe, and its most notable feature is that some of its members can see things that will happen in the future.
"I was passing through and sensed a catastrophe that is going to happen to the city, so I came to warn you," I said as I looked at the guard and smiled.
"Wait, sir, I will inform the king of your arrival." He went inside, and after ten minutes, the gate was opened.
The city was small and somewhat poor but had many inhabitants. Everyone was standing and watching us as we entered and headed to the king's large palace.
The palace doors opened, and we sat on beautifully arranged chairs. Anyone who looked at the palace and then at the city and its poor neighborhoods would know this king is unjust and foolish.
If you have a weak and hateful follower, you won't benefit from them. Make them fear you, respect you, and acknowledge your justice.
This is the law by which I led my gang.
A soldier told me that the king would be a little late.
So, I told him I needed to relieve myself since I appeared as a small child in his eyes.
"Anything you request, sir," he said.
I believe their ruler had asked them to treat us in the best way possible.
So, I went and returned after ten minutes.
Shard had started talking with Khalid and Zad, and their conversation grew louder. Shard began laughing, and the two of them laughed with him.
Hind approached Lina and started talking and laughing with her as well.
So, I looked at them and smiled.
Zad looked at me and said, "What did you do?"
"I didn't do anything," I said as I looked at him.
Shard intervened.
"Wait and see."
A man wearing a crown on his head and golden clothes entered, followed by three beautiful girls.
He walked past us, looked at us, and then sat on the large throne, placing the girls in his lap. That sick man, why does he do such things in front of us?
He looked at one of the soldiers and said,
The soldier pointed at me and said, "There."
"I want nothing. I just don't like to see your dear city destroyed," I said, feigning sorrow.
The king stood up and said angrily,
"Two thousand heavenly spiders," I said, looking at him calmly.
"Don't forget that I am from the Cloud Tribe and can see the future," I said with a smile.
"Very well, you will have your proof in a few moments," I said, looking at Shard and my team.
Their faces showed amazement. I think they were wondering how a child could have such a great ability to act and deceive.
After a few moments, a guard came in.
"Sir, there are strange creatures outside the city killing our soldiers. No one can stop them, and they don't die," said the soldier, who was seriously injured.
The king looked at the soldier and asked,
"Thirty-five," I said.
Everyone looked at me in astonishment.
You're probably wondering how my corpses got there.
When I told the guard I needed to relieve myself and was alone, I summoned those corpses and ordered them to attack the city from the outside.
"I don't think any of your soldiers will be able to do anything against them. So, I will let my guards handle it."
I looked at Shard and Khalid and told them to finish them off.
Shard raised his weapon and unleashed his aura.
And Khalid also unleashed his aura and headed outside. Their bodies radiated that aura, and everyone looked at them with great fear and respect.
Not everyone can become special.
The king stood up and went outside to watch the battle. I went with him, Lina, Zad, and Hind.
There were some soldiers behind us.
Khalid ran quickly towards the gate.
Shard moved steadily behind him.
When Khalid first reached the outside, he found the corpses and started attacking them without waiting for Shard. He hit many of the corpses and moved quickly, able to kill three before Shard arrived.
I had given orders to the corpses telepathically not to use all their power and to die after a few hits.
When Shard arrived, the battle continued for half an hour, and then all the corpses were killed.
Shard and Khalid sustained minor injuries.
When the king saw that and realized that those corpses had killed 100 soldiers in that short time, he looked at one of the soldiers and said,
"Summon Minister Hassan now."
The soldier left, and I returned to my seat.
After a while, Khalid and Shard returned, smiling, with some traces of blood on their bodies.
A moment later, a man with white hair, leaning on a cane, and looking at us arrived.
"Go and deliver a speech to the people that there is a danger coming in ten days to the city, so no one should leave their home until this period is over, and they should chant my name."
When I asked the king who this was, he told me it was his adviser Hassan, who informs the people of all the king's orders and is trusted by the people greatly and blindly. He is also the one who gives orders to the army.
I realized that this king is lazy and cannot do anything himself.
I told the king that we felt tired and needed some rest.
So, he ordered a soldier to prepare a residence for us.
The king stood up, walked towards me, and thanked me for trying to save his city.
I smiled at him, and he left.
Shard looked at me after the king had gone and said, "How did you predict those creatures and their numbers?" His face and everyone else's had a look of confusion.
"A special sensing skill of mine," I said with a smile.
Zad interrupted them and said,
I looked at him and smiled my sly smile.
"We will kidnap him, cut off his head, and take his place."
