Mo Shiyu looked at the three of them, utterly bewildered. She could understand each word they said individually, but when strung together, their meaning eluded her.
"Sister An Yan, why aren't you with Big Brother anymore?" the young girl asked, her voice laced with deep regret.
An Yan smiled and explained, "We were never together. Let me introduce you. This is my husband, Li Tianyao. We're legally married, certificate and all!"
Mo Shiyu looked as if she'd been struck by lightning. "So, you were lying when you said you were Big Brother's girlfriend? You helped Big Brother trick my father and aunt out of their shares. Why?"
An Yan refused to take the blame, shaking her head immediately. "You're mistaken. I didn't help Mo Shiyan deceive you. I was trying to trick someone into helping the Old Master by luring the worm out of his brain."
"And I succeeded. She managed to extract the worm from the Old Master's brain yesterday, which is why I can be here today to operate on him!"
