Cheng Su said that the family dinner was meant to be a farewell for Qi Taiguo, but at the table, no one was very enthusiastic. Even with Qi Jianguo making jokes occasionally, the atmosphere was quite dull.
The meal was tasteless, and Qi Taiguo was helpless about it. He didn't say much either, lest he make things worse.
After the meal, Qi Taiguo asked his family to go home first, and he pulled Cheng Su along for a walk outside.
"It's really cold, why not go home?" Cheng Su said.
"I'm leaving tomorrow, aren't I? About to embark again, why don't you go with me to buy some medicine and whatnot to take with me?" Qi Taiguo said with a smile.
Cheng Su looked at him and nodded.
Qi Taiguo hurriedly held her hand, tucked it into the pocket of his coat, and the two of them walked silently along the street, not speaking.
