Hua Wushuang put a lot of thought into recording Changsheng's name in the genealogy, and how he convinced those elder members was of no concern to Wufu, as it was not her business to care about.
After some twists and turns, Hua Wushuang finally opened the ancestral hall and recorded Changsheng's name in the Mei Family Genealogy, under his own name.
Although the name was recorded, Hua Wushuang did not declare Changsheng as the next heir. Firstly, Changsheng was still young, frail, and had a long way to grow. Secondly, Hua Wushuang shared Wufu's thoughts in not wanting others to pay too much attention to Changsheng, for who knew if anyone had ulterior motives.
But since the name was recorded, and Hua Wushuang was unmarried and had no children, this child under his name became the Young Master, hence all the servants of the Mei Family instinctively started to address Changsheng as the Little Young Master.
