Anthony could be seen lying on his bed as he slept like a baby. The sun poured into the room, reflecting upon his face, which gently drew his consciousness back from the dream realm. Anthony yawned without a care as he stared at the ceiling. His hand moved to the other side of the bed as he wanted to touch Vega and give her a morning kiss on her forehead.
But his hand met nothing but an empty space on the bed. Then it dawned on him that Vega had told him she would be spending the last few days with Veronica, Altheria, and her parents, Amara and Klaus, as this was the last time she would be seeing them for quite a while too.
Of course, Anthony had agreed. After all, he wasn't the only one in Vega's life.
'Three more days until the Ascension,' Anthony thought to himself as he shifted into a sitting position on the bed with another yawn.
And indeed, only three days remained.
