Taking a night bath and changing into more comfortable clothes, Anthony lay on his bed and dozed off without a shred of care. He wasn't half-asleep, nor was he pretending to sleep; he was truly asleep. Although it might seem foolish to sleep at a moment like this, it didn't matter because of his absurd senses.
As he slept, the walls of the room seemed to ripple like the surface of water. Through the walls, five people wearing nothing but black, assassin-like clothes stepped in. The moment the six entered, one of them took out an orb and crushed it. The moment the orb shattered, reality seemed to dissolve as the entire room warped. The bed vanished as another layer of space overlapped the inn room.
Anthony now lay on his bed within an area filled with nothing but dead bodies, as though this was the dumping site for everyone the six assassins had killed. The corpses numbered in the hundreds, each of them still fresh and undecayed, as though the realm preserved them.
