Chapter 113 - Ch. 113 A Sad Outcome Regardless....

Three days had passed since Eiji had stormed in front of the Viscount's mansion and nearly killed his way in, though in a sense he did!

Yesterday, Viscount Ikeda Hiiro, had all of his crimes published and was brought to a sentence.

He was then publicly executed at the streets of the City Of Breeze!

Eiji and the others saw everything. Renji's mother arrived the next day after what Eiji did at the mansion and was then told of everything that had happened to his son, to finally what will be coming of the Viscount.

She cried as she looked at the severed head of the viscount.

Eiji and Newark could only lend her their shoulders to cry on and couldn't say anything.

The matter could be said to be officially done, but for Eiji, Newark and Renji's mother, this doesn't really mean anything at all, as ultimately Renji died for nothing.

Eiji and the others didn't see the crown prince and the royal tutor after that day.

It seems that the investigation went smoothly because the people they interrogated knew that the crown prince as well as the royal tutor themselves was there.

It was over in nearly half a day, and because of his age, the crown prince just went straight back to the capital to let the royal tutor rest after this supposedly 'checking out the relatives' thing.

Though disappointed that he couldn't thank them, Eiji and the others felt grateful to the royal tutor for letting them speak their case and to help bring justice for Renji, Ryuko and the Shibai Family.

---

Now Eiji was at an area near the river.

They couldn't find Renji and Ryuko's bodies, as they were apparently thrown into the river, and with how wide, deep and full of beasts the river was... There was no chance of finding their bodies ever again.

So they could only mourn at the river side.

Eiji was alone.

Newark offered to help the suffering mother of Renji and decided to travel back home with her.

Marco and Akai gave Eiji some space, but it was already decided that they need to go back today.

Eiji looked at the running water.

"..."

*SWOOOSHH!!!

*Thud! Thud! .....Thud!!

"!!!"

As the wind passed by, Eiji felt something in his heartbeat, which suddenly skipped a beat!

He clenched his fist ans put it near in his heart, and he felt empty... And also ....somewhat.... Free???

"Oh!"

He then remembered.

"That was today huh...."

It has been five years... The temporary sword Oath in his heart which was imprinted to him after graduation has now passed!

He had already made a decision to get a permanent one, but the Renji's Situation made him think twice.... And he needs to think whether he should get another temporary or permanent, otherwise if he didn't get any Sword Oath... He'd be out of the department and would then either be a freelance swordsman or just straight up a wanderer.

And he needs to think of it now as he travels back home.

---

After days of travelling, Eiji and the others were now in front of the Department Commander.

He was looking at Eiji with a frown.

"You should understand the trouble you caused by what you did right?!"

"Yes sir..!"

He nodded slightly.

"Sigh! Eiji, I understand what happened and knows that you did nothing wrong, but regardless you still need to be punished for breaking protocols and storming out the Viscount without evidence!

Although the outcome was favorable to you, had it not been, you would've been executed!"

"I understand sir and I apologize for the ruckus that I made!"

Eiji bowed his head a she apologized.

"For now, your punishment would be a week off and your salary for a month is cut off! Go and get some fresh air and rewrite your bearings Eiji!"

"!!!"

Although it was called a punishment, it was clearly just for the sake of the rules. In truth he was given by the commander a week of vacation!

Eiji looked at the Commander and Bowed deeply once again.

"Thank you very much sir!!!"

"Sigh! Go and rest for a week Eiji! And Marco, Akai, you two stay, your team actually has a mission before all this happened, but this could be handled by the two of them easily so don't worrry Eiji!"

As Commander Sadou spoke about a mission, he saw the worried look of Eiji, he might have remembered the last mission where they were bombed, so he got worried but assured him just in case.

"Uh.. yes sir! Thank you once again! Good bye! You two take care!"

Saying so he bowed once again and exited the room.
