With a smile quite sad, but a spirit and intent always so amiable - always looking to connect easily with others - the Goltbred father shrugged his shoulders. He'd actually talked to his eldest about something to this effect recently. Because apparently, she had been born to parents who shared quite a bit in common with who she used to be. And while he 'moved on', it was never without all things negative following him and giving perspective on all the positives that followed... just like her.
"I didn't, really. But eventually I learned that being a survivor itself isn't something to feel guilty about."
