"What is a god exactly? I'm only aware of the Goddess. The name sounds similar to hers. Are they her servants whom I'm not aware of? Is that a different name for the Arch Priests?"
A predatory grin emerged on the daughter-father duo's lips.
The denizens of Thalorind had no concept of gods beyond their Goddess.
To them, she was all. Creator, ruler, and judge. There were no other worlds, no higher planes or pantheons. The Goddess was the beginning and the end, the unchallenged, almighty being that shaped their reality.

"Yeah! You've been very rude to my father, old man!" Rosie interjected, puffing her cheeks and glaring toward the necklace. "You even placed a bounty on him! But now you're asking questions of us? Some people really know no shame! Hmph!"
Alexios exhaled slowly through his nose, closing his eyes for a moment.
