Zach's plan was simple. He, Mandra, Yanael, and Taub would return to Emberise, where they would rendezvous with the other familiars. They would hand over the Thrice-Cleansed Thousand-year Poison Marble to Vera and put her to work.
While Vera did all she could in the process of creating Friebel's body, Zach and his familiars would zip back to Gjula and go fish for the being who saved Zach when he was a child, who now needed saving herself.
Hopefully, it wouldn't take too long, and they would make it back well in time before the deadline Friebel had set. Zach also had to keep in mind his condition. If he were too slow, parts of him would start to decay.
While planning his next chain of actions, Zach left the broken former followers of Purification behind and started walking.
That was a bad idea.
He couldn't find the right way even when he was actively trying. Walking somewhere when distracted made his lack of a sense of direction even worse.
