Third person POV
Later at night, as the Philippine Day of Independence was ending, Roxas was in his room writing a strategy on how to bring Keita back to life and back to his normal self. Anko was hovering nearby, glancing at Roxas's open laptop in its Microsoft Word Document that showed Roxas's task list, ideas and notes in a 2-column format (efficient). Roxas hypothesized that Keita was lower in levels than Kirito and the rest of the Elite Players since he died when Kirito was not yet strong back then.
Eiji was watching TV in the living room while Koyuki was cooking dinner like Tohru Honda of "Fruits Basket". Shuto and Minato had just returned from a supermarket with a tub of chocolate ice cream and a box of mochi.
Back in Roxas's bedroom, the air seemed to manifest someone. That was the spirit of Sachi. "Hi there, kid…" she chirped softly. Anko was quickly alerted by her presence and shook Roxas's left shoulder. "Roxas-kun! Roxas-kun! Someone's here!"
Roxas was a bit frightened, and he looked at him. "Yes, what is it?"
Anko then pointed at a hovering Sachi. "Look at this!"
Roxas did so, and he was stunned and blinking behind his reading glasses. "What the flip?"
"Greetings, I'm Sachi!" Sachi chirped. "Are you a foreigner?"
"Y-Yes," replied Roxas while his open-closed door persona let the door partially open, "I'm Nietes Roxas, or full name: Roxas Torre Agbayani-Nietes. My username is Spark78Reformed."
"Wow, interesting…Where are you from?"
"Iloilo City, the Philippines po."
"Wow, from the Philippines?!"
"Yes!" Anko chirped while his hoodie was fluttering from a digital wind and his Bicol green aura was flaring warmly. "He's a foreign student in KIA."
"That was quite interesting…" Sachi gets it now.
"She just said 'interesting' twice…" Roxas's mind said.
Sachi wanted to be with them and ask for permission to linger in the Shared House S-2 when they are inside, and Roxas and Anko allowed that.
This made dinnertime later at 7:01 p.m. a bit warmer as well.
Some days passed, and it seems that Roxas and his friends are doing fine after June 12. Roxas and Anko became closer by friendship, and both became Arashi's friends at school. Arashi shared his passion for piano. Roxas, meanwhile, was also passionate about playing the piano, so he and Arashi played songs on the music class's pianos, which is 3 grand pianos costing 120,000 Yen each.
Minato, on the other hand, had been training under Hideyoshi, his new spirit guardian. He even had and inherited Hideyoshi's stats and his current level, Level 23. But still, Minato wanted to keep this a secret from his friends. As a result, the Elite Players detected that and were confused about how Minato had obtained such stats in just a short period of time. Those strong players had no idea that there were dead players who had some unfinished business with the game.
One day, on June 20, at a park in Shibuya, Roxas was walking with his backpack towards one of the park's concrete benches and tables to have a self-study session for himself this afternoon. The time was 4:23 p.m., and Roxas had just parted ways with his friends before taking the Tokyo Subway to Shibuya. And when he found one, Roxas was stunned to see Evil Kirito doing some after-school homework in Math. The Elite Player was in his school uniform rather than his typical game player's attire. But Roxas wanted to have peace with him, so he greeted him good afternoon, and sat down at the other side of the table, before bringing out his notebook for the Vietnamese language and some pencils and an eraser. After that, Roxas opened his notebook and grabbed his wooden pencil to write some notes and practice writing certain vocabulary he was already familiar with. Roxas has been studying Vietnamese for 7 months now. Evil Kirito saw him studying, but was wondering what Roxas was studying for a bit before diving back into his Math homework.
A bit later, Evil Kirito was struggling with his Advanced Algebra homework while Roxas was studying Vietnamese. Roxas then began to practice saying the 6 tonal sounds of the language and then pivoted to sing a line in the musical-sounding Telugu. And then, when he noticed that Kirito was struggling on the other side of the table from him, Roxas, instead of leaving him to struggle, stood up and went to him.
"What's wrong?" he asked him.
"This question is hard and doesn't make sense," replied Kirito back.
In response to that, Roxas took a look at the said question in Advanced Algebra, only to find that it was easy for him to answer it.
So, he grabbed Kirito's pencil and started showing him how to answer it with his written, step-by-step procedures in it.
It was a bit long, but Roxas did so in answering the question correctly.
"There you go." Roxas put the pencil back.
Kirito was stunned at his method of answering that question and couldn't believe that Roxas could answer that. "No way…"
"You can create your own way of solving these kinds of math problems," Roxas confidently and positively responded back, before smiling at him for a couple of seconds.
"Oh…thanks…"
"You're welcome, Kirito-kun."
Evil Kirito was taken aback when Roxas called him like that.
Roxas then went back to his seat to resume his studies.
Evil Kirito was stunned at his friendliness and kindness before resuming his studies.
After some time, Roxas was done studying and gave himself a little reward by watching one of his favourite data videos on YouTube. Evil Kirito was also done with his homework and put away his stuff into his backpack, which was an item in his inventory actually. After that, he stood up and stretched a bit. "That was a bit hard…"
Meanwhile, Roxas became entrenched in the video's background song. "Timor-Leste," Roxas uttered while listening to the last segment of one of his favourite songs without lyrics, before that song was restarted from the beginning. What it makes it weird is that Roxas pronounced it well and nice due to his heavy exposure to videos on YouTube from a young age.
Evil Kirito heard that and was wondering what that even meant.
Roxas, meanwhile, was quiet enjoying his little break time.
Later, at night at the shared house, before dinner time, Roxas was in his room writing today's events in his journal with a blue, 0.5-millimeter gel pen. After that, he pivoted to his laptop, downloaded his updated draft of his "Beginning from Darkness" restorationist story from his Google Drive into his laptop as an updated Microsoft Word Document, and updated it with Chapter 1, where the antagonist occult madman Max Blacke was overthrown by the death creatures of different dystopian sectors and horrors and thrown him into the Abyss through the portal. He wrote that Max landed in one of the lava lakes and was burned alive with the despair of the souls resonating across the endless dark Abyss. After that, the creatures destroyed the six obsidian tablets with axes of the Fahrenheit 451 firemen, machine guns from the Wolf Brigade soldiers, and rays of Lethal Decomposer from the Dominators of the Enforcers. Now, Roxas concluded in the end of the chapter, they were free but grieved for the humans they had systematically slaughtered.
Roxas was hammering down the words with righteous fury, remember how he despised "Psycho-Pass" and "Jin Roh" for being dystopian.
According to Roxas's memories uncovered by Anko, Roxas rejected the Psycho-Pass anime after reading its synopsis online within 10 seconds, and he also hated "Jin Roh" after watching a clip of the movie where a squad of Wolf Brigade soldiers neutralizing a protest on the streets.
After that, Roxas copy-pasted the entire chapter into Jewel Books' draft section, did some correcting on spelling and grammar, and uploaded it. Yesterday, he already uploaded the story title, description, and prologue, so the first chapter was a new addition.
The evening was quiet, and Roxas was having a peaceful time now. Anko was quite impressed by Roxas' writing skills. Even a floating Sachi was impressed by whatever Roxas was cooking in his literary work.
