Raymond keenly noticed that his adjutant Yakexi's state was very off.
Occasionally, when he looked up, he would catch Yakexi stealthily glancing at him.
Or when he called Yakexi's name, Yakexi would jump up like a cat caught by surprise.
This left Raymond baffled.
He has never been one to hold things back.
So, on this day, Raymond directly called the adjutant's name.
"Yakexi."
Yakexi shuddered internally: "Ah...? Sir, is there something you need?"
He tried to glean some clue from the Marshal's face, but clearly—after working under the Marshal for several years, he had never once been able to guess the Marshal's thoughts.
Raymond quietly looked at Yakexi: "Yakexi, it's not about me, but I want to ask you, what's been going on with you lately?"

Yakexi really wanted to cry and swear to the heavens hugging his own marshal's leg, saying he knew he was wrong and wouldn't dare to have any thoughts about the Marshal's wife again.
