Soon Jin came back, we got into his mother's car and she drove off. Jin and I was in the back seat silent until Jin said.
"Ryouto my dad said you could glow purple or something, is that your ability?" He said looking excitedly at me waiting for my response. " Yeah I guess you could say that, although I'm not really sure what my ability actually is." I said thinking back on the time I nearly disintegrated the poor officer hand,
'I'll have to apologize for that later I guess.'
"Really? How come you don't know what your ability is? I use mine like all the time although it isn't all that cool but it's fun to use." Jin said looking at me confused for a moment.
"Well my grandmother always use to tell me my ability was special and very powerful so it would only awaken when I was ready." I said thinking about what my ability might be.
" Damn man it sounds like it would fun fighting you when you awaken your power fully" He said with stars in his eyes.
"Sigh, Jin what did I say about wanting to fight everyone that sounds strong." Jin's mom interrupted in a helpless voice. As she continued driving me and Jin talked a little bit longer until she reached her destination and left us in the car as she went into what I assumed was a store.
"Wanna see my power?" Jin asked me. "Yeah show me." I said kind of interested in what his power would be. "Well it isn't anything flashy but it is super cool." He said pulling a some silver looking balls out his pocket.
"Wow there floating" I said looking at the silver balls that flew up from his hands into the air in astonishment. "Yeah this is nothing all I did was remove the gravity of the balls and and redirect the gravity of the space around it" he said moving the balls in a left and right direction and then made them go around in a ring.
"Wow so you can control gravity, awesome man. I wonder what my ability is." I said amazed at his ability but seeing his made me more curious what mine was at the same time.
"Hey why don't you try to focus all your energy into one thing. Like how Adam prayed at the boundary separating earth and heaven for seven days and nights." "What? Who?" I asked confused about who he was even talking about
" What do you mean who, bro do you live under a rock. You know Adam right, the first man ever?" "Yeah, nope never heard of him" I said shaking my head.
"So you do live under a rock, okay but anyway so Adam was the first man to ever be born. It's said the he and his wife Eve lived in the garden of Eden as people call it. Until a evil surpent descended that is. The evil surpent corrupted and tricked them into believing after eating the fruit of wisdom they would be free forever and so Eve and Adam both ate the fruit. Only to get kicked out of Eden forever banished from the paradise they once called home. When they were left the fend for themselves out in the world they were constantly on the run from monsters called the bridgers. These monster's possessed a extremely strong body and various troubling forms. Although Adam was a strong man even with his strength being over ten times stronger than any normal man he still couldn't do anything to the bridgers. After talking to Eve Adam decided they would go to the end of the earth, the boundary separating heaven and earth. Of course there is no end of earth so even till this day we don't know the exact spot he arrived to but when he arrived it's said that he prayed for seven days and nights. Praying non stop for God to bless him with the power to defeat the bridgers. Eventually his prayers were answered god sent down his holy light allowing Adam and Eve to manifest the laws of heaven and earth. Finally giving them a chance to fight back against the bridgers."
"And yeah that basically the beginning of the story of Adam." "Damn, so we only have powers like these because of some god above?" I asked mildly curious about this so called God Jin was talking about. "Yeah basically but anyway try focusing all your energy into your hand or something and keep thinking that you want to do something like creating a ball of energy or something. It might work considering you can glow it maybe some kind of energy based power." " Your right I'll give it a try." And so I did, I closed my eyes picturing a purple ball in front of me at first but then Jin's silver ball suddenly came to mind and it wouldn't go away for some reason so I decided to base my energy ball on that and focused poured all my concentration into creating it and soon I felt something flowing into my hand. Next thing I knew I was feeling something cold and firm in my hand so I opened my eyes only to see a metallic silver ball in my wide open palm.
"So cool." Jin said looking at my hand in amazement.
"What happened Jin, also why is your ball in my hand?" I asked feeling confused about why I had his silver ball and why he looked so amazed. "What do you mean what happened you just created my silver ball, from nothing at all." "Wait for real, but how would that make sense I thought my power was something that hurts people, like the officer's hand..."
"Yeah now that you mention it you didn't glow purple instead, your hand it was kinda white." "So what does that mean." "Well I don't know for sure you can probably ask my dad later, but what we do know is you can create stuff man, it's like a creation ability!!" 'So creation huh does remind me of what my grandmother told me about my mother's power but it's probably a coincidence' I thought to myself.
"Let's test it" Jin said looking excited but just then his mother came back. "Hey, you good right kids?" She asked settling back in her seat and looking at us from the rearview mirror.
"Yep we're good back here." Jin said looking a bit nervous and then whispered to me "hey man don't tell her I was using my ability just now okay she freaks on me whenever I use it in the car."
"Okay I won't."I replied softly.
Soon she started the engine and we left heading towards Jin's home, talking about all sorts of stuff on the way.
When we arrived at Jin's home I was honestly amazed at how good his house looked. It had a nicely trimmed yard, a tiled walk way leading straight to the house's two step stairs with a gallery when you walked beyond the stairs where you could sit and drink tea I suppose but the inside of the house was more amazing. The walls were yellow on the inside and the tiles on the floor had weird yet intricate patterns.
"This is the main room, the first room you see when you walk into the house and if you walk straight from the door to the other side of the room next to it would be the kitchen, that's the stairs for upstairs and that's the downstairs bathroom. One's upstairs too." Jin said as he gave me a tour of his house.
"Anyway enough with down stairs let's go upstairs, mom's probably gonna start cooking now so we have time." He said as we began heading upstairs
"This is my room, mom and dad's room is there, those are two guest rooms and the bathroom." He said was we walked to his room and enter. Only to see a bunch of mess everywhere unlike the rest of the house his room was in complete disarray.
"Hey bro, you should clean you're room some more" I said looking at all the stuff scattered about with a sweat drop.
"You're starting to sound like my mom but since your here you can help me." He grinned looking at my face as I went pale hearing what he said but ultimately I resigned myself to my sad fate and began helping him clean.
