On the third day after the war, Victor held a meeting at the "Feathered Serpent Temple."
It wasn't a formal meeting, no suit, no tie, just a dark sweater as he sat at one end of the long table, with a bowl of beef noodles in front of him.
Bramo was the first to arrive, carrying a stack of documents, which landed on the table with a dull thud.
Casare followed behind, clutching an unlit cigar, dark circles under his eyes.
Victor glanced up at them. "Eat the noodles first, they'll get cold."
Bramo didn't move. "Leader—"
"Eat first."
The three of them sat at the long table, slurping noodles. Casare finished, snapping his chopsticks on the table. "Damn, how much did we spend on the Syria situation?"
Victor pushed the bowl aside, and Bramo opened a folder.
