The most, most, most important thing was that Xiaoxiao got a piece of information: people in the main kitchen have no chance to meet the masters.
The main kitchen only handles cooking; the kitchen is always on standby, whenever they're told to cook, they cook.
After the food is ready, special maids deliver it over; the people in the main kitchen don't need to get involved.
Hearing this, Xiaoxiao's heart went half cold.
Did the division of labor really need to be this clear-cut? They'd truly been reduced to pure back–of–house staff; even the "food runner" type of server work has designated people to do it.
She wants to go to the front to show her face, but that's not allowed.
She had wanted to test the waters, and when dishes were sent out, she'd help carry them, maybe she'd get to see the master—but she hadn't expected that even such a tiny thing would be this hard to pull off.
After busying around all morning, breakfast was finally done.
