Su Lan moved very slowly. It took her nearly twenty minutes to use the bathroom, while Tong Ran closed her eyes, her hands hanging by her side clenching tightly.
Finally, Su Lan stood up.
Tong Ran quickly went over to support her. Suddenly, she looked up, "Mom, tell me, what in this world can still be trusted?"
Su Lan's hand trembled, her voice following suit, "Wh-what's wrong? Why are you saying this all of a sudden?"
Tong Ran smiled slightly, holding her hand, picking up the towel beside her and gently wiping with it. She lowered her head, strands of hair sliding over the side of her face, "I just think it's quite laughable."
"Wh-what's laughable?"
"Nothing," Tong Ran said with a constant faint smile, "Mom, let's go out. Chennchenn is still sleeping outside."
"Alright."
The two walked out of the bathroom. Tong Ran supported her to the bedside, only to find it empty, her face turned pale with shock, "Mom, the child is gone!"
