"Five thousand worlds! And not a single worthy foe to compete with me?!"
"....."
There was a distant clap, then a ray of noises and cheering erupted as people stood up.
"Wonderful!"
"It was a nice decision to give you the role of a villain." The claps soon faded as others accompanied me in front.
"With that, the story concludes with the victor being the villain," the group leader announced as we all bowed in front of the crowd.
I have played the role of a villain who devoured worlds and defeated heroes from different places; it's nice.
Performing an event for the academy gives a thrill, but strangely, I'm supposed to be here for a few years of vacation, yet I've been here for 17 years.
Being the creator I am, I thought the moment I opened my eyes, Amaryllis would be holding me.
But a random human woman held me as she smiled, and a man made funny faces.
I've waited, waited, and waited some more, but after 17 years, nothing came up; none of my creations appeared.
It was partially my fault since I went down to the human realm without telling them.
"Lucius, the class will be having a party. You'll come, right?"
"When?" I asked.
"Tonight at the restaurant next to the park."
"I'll be there," I said while exiting the backstage. I still had my acting clothes on and not my Academy uniform, so I needed to get back and change.
As I walked around the campus, nearing the academy building, a few people spotted me.
"You're perfect!" A girl holding a paintbrush came up to me.
I looked to where she came from, and there was a group of people painting on canvases. They were circling a man who stood in a pose.
"Will you be our model? Your clothes and all make you look elegant! Please, just this once; the art club will pay you back tenfold!"
Sounds exaggerated.
"Don't take too long, okay?"
"Yay!" She pulled me towards the group and forced my composed face into a smiling one.
Slowly, the crowd grew bigger and bigger. Half an hour passed, and my back was starting to hurt.
"Done! Thank you! Please come to the art club if you need any help!" she said, and I left. I missed one class because of that.
Home time is nearing, though there's still one more class left. I didn't go to the academy building; I headed for the dorms.
I didn't have time to waste. Being absent doesn't bother me one bit now.
Arriving at my dorm, I took out the key, unlocked it, and turned on the lights.
By this time, some random female lead would have been waiting for me, but that only happens in novels.
Can I make it into reality? I can, but...
The 10 percent power that I had, scattered while my body was being formed left me with a mere 2 percent.
It's weird making my power into a percentage, but that's how I see it.
Anyways, I don't care about the remaining 8 percent since I won't be needing it anymore. In my life as a creator, I do hope to return, but it seems like it won't be an option.
....
"Let's celebrate! To the greatest actor in the world!"
"You all flatter me too much," I said. Seriously, humans go overboard sometimes.
The party is in full swing, with food on the table and people talking around. Basically, the entire class is present, even the teachers.
"I need to pee," I said to the guy next to me. He was the class president, basically the organizer of this event.
I stood up, but he pulled me down, making me sit again.
"Drink this orange juice."
".... I need to pee; I don't need a drin— arghh!"
In the end, he made me chug the entire glass. As expected of the class president, now my shirt is orange, and hopefully, my pee isn't.
"Ha... Haaa..... Ha..." I opened the restroom door and heard panting.
I thought it was humans doing their traditional wonder called mating, so I went in anyway. Why would I care?
But in the restroom? Seriously, humans?
As I unzipped my zipper and began to tinkle in the corner of the place, there was a woman in black with blood all over her body.
"...." I ignored her, zipped my pants, and walked off.
"W-wait!" she shouted.
"Listen, you saw my sword, so you saw nothing, and I saw nothing. Got it?"
"Help me out the window! I... can't climb it on my own." I sighed and helped her anyway.
The window was small, but she miraculously fit and was able to leave the restroom safely.
"My name is—"
She talked, but I had already left the restroom, so I didn't hear more than that. Upon returning, the party was still ongoing, but the president saw me and waved goodbye.
He had already figured out that I was going to leave anyway, as expected of the class president.
"Garghh! Accck!" I hadn't taken one step outside the restaurant, and someone was already getting beaten up in the middle of the night.
I looked around, and sure enough, my guess was correct: the same woman I had helped was the one getting beaten up.
"Beating a woman in the middle of the night? Do y'all have no chivalry?"
"Who are you? Do you know who we are?!"
"I couldn't care less, but if you..." As I squinted my eyes, I saw them wearing armor with a design in the middle.
It was a sword with white wings, meaning only one thing: the City knights of Entoross where I'm living in.
"Oh no, good sir, actually I'm just passing by; I'm a stranger after all." I walked off as if I had heard and seen nothing.
"Stay still!" The knight's sword was over my shoulder, barely hitting me.
"Don't move—argh! What the hell?!" I was just as surprised by his sudden scream. He looked down at the ground and saw the same woman.
Though badly bruised and injured, she crawled towards us and bit the knight's legs.
"You whore!" He shook her off and prepared to kick her, but I knelt down and caught the incoming impact.
"Is this you returning the favor since I saved you, or is it because you don't want to involve the innocent?"
"Both!" she replied.
"I see."
"Both of you are under arrest for injuring and resisting a knight! By the Lord's name, stay put!"
"You do not exist."
"Huh? Wait, what is happening? Oi, what are you doing to me?!" His body slowly turned to ashes.
And the wind blew the ashes away, and he vanished.
As soon as he vanished, the knight who accompanied him dropped his sword and ran, but he was near me, so I raised my hand, and his body flew back towards me.
"You too." I gripped his neck, and slowly he too started to turn to ashes until I held nothing in my hand.
The girl was bewildered at what she saw, but she neither made a sound nor ran; she merely watched.
It's not like she had a choice.
"Again, you saw nothing, and consider this a thank you for trying to protect me."
I turned and walked off towards the academy, but I stopped as something was pulling at my leg. Looking down, a bloodied hand held me.
[ A new admirer has awoken! An incredible talent is at your feet. Choose to accept her or deny her. ]
This system is at it again.
"The S-tier gravitational magic and an unknown magic? Who are you?"
"As I said, I'm just a stranger passing by."
"I know you, but who are you really? How can an academy student cast S-tier level spells?"
I turned towards her and sat at ground level so we could face eye to eye.
"Then my question to you: take off your mask."
Without hesitation, she did so, and a familiar face came into view—brown long hair and green eyes, quite familiar.
"Adeline Fleming?" She's a familiar yet mysterious figure; to be exact, she sat at the very last corner of the room.
Most likely befitting her character: top-class, smart, quiet, yet barely present, but still smart.
"It seems I'm familiar to you, Lucius Alford."
I clicked my tongue and said, "Did you see what happened to the guys who annoyed me? They disappeared. You don't want that, do you?"
"I don't! But I know you will accept this request of mine!" she swiftly replied.
[Caution! Beware of your decision!]
"Teach me!"
"Ha?!" The moment the system told me I had a new admirer, I knew this would be the outcome.
"I've got nothing to teach."
"I saw what you did! I know that you know something that I don't, so please!"
I was taken aback by this request. I don't have much, but I have something to ask her.
"What makes you confident that I'll accept you and won't kill you?"
"I feel it in my gut!"
Oh? The look on her face screams confidence. Should I?...
[CAUTION!]
Tch. As I thought of considering it, the system popped up in front of my face with the words in capital letters.
This didn't happen for the first time; there were more situations where someone asked me to teach them, and the system bluntly popped up with the word "CAUTION."
[Recommended action: reject the request and continue on your way.]
Looking at it, I grinned. To Hell, I will! I love pissing the system off; though it doesn't seem like it, it has a somewhat familiar personality.
It's like my creation, Nikola; it doesn't want me to have new disciples.
That's why it's perfect! I love doing this.
I reached out my hand, offering it to Adeline. She took a few seconds, but eventually, she grabbed it and knelt down.
"Be glad, Adeline Fleming." I just so happen to want to piss off the system.
