"Come on, Alex, we have been doing homework all morning. Don't you want to relax your brain with something fun?" Sophia pointed out.
"Yeah, we deserve a break. Who does homework for that long nonstop? Come on, brother! Pleaseeeee!" Mary pleaded.
"Fine, whatever."
Alex backed down in the end as his brain was starting to feel a sense of withdrawal from doing so much work in one day.
If he just looked at the clock once, they had been doing the math homework for almost five hours straight, all the way till noon.
"Okay, I'm going to go get Luqing. You guys stay here for a bit, okay? She's going to bring you guys out again."
Katherine quickly grabbed the empty food tray before disappearing from the living room, leaving the three of them at the table.
"Mary, do you remember what Evelyn said before we left for winter break?" Sophia suddenly asked as she put the homework into her backpack.
"Um, they are going back to their hometown?"
