Chapter 5 - Falvi The Hero 2.

As the sounds of battle rage on around the two, the winds begin to pick up as Cassiel's grip on his sword tightens.

Charging at Falvi once more, Cassiel halts just short of him, kicking dirt into his eyes before lunging forward, punching him in the stomach so hard it launches him back, leaving a big crack in Falvi's armor.

"Are you still so confident you can beat me, you brat?" Cassiel says, looking down on the now kneeling Falvi.

Scoffing at the remark, Falvi glares at Cassiel.

"Of course I can... you're-" Before finishing his sentence, he coughs up blood.

"I'm what? Go ahead, say it, don't spray it." Cassiel says, mocking him.

"Dead. YOU'RE ALREADY DEAD!" Falvi yells, standing up with his right hand glowing a bright golden hue, raising it to the sky as a large, golden yellow spear appears.

"SPEAR OF CALAMITY, SIXTH TIER!"

Falvi's voice bellows across the battlefield, which has every last soldier stop to turn, only to turn back around to begin their escape, running away as the spear makes its way to the ground right above Cassiel.

"You've got to be kidding me." Cassiel says, looking up at the spear as it heads down towards him.

Cassiel's hands begin glowing a bright red, pointing them towards the spear as a red bubble begins to form around him.

"DIE, BASTARD!" Falvi shouts as the spear makes contact with the ground, making a huge explosion right in front of Cassiel, which blows through his bubble, sending him flying backwards.

As the dust begins to settle from the explosion, Cassiel is completely gone from the scene.

"Ha... yes... of course, he couldn't handle my divine power." Falvi smiles, believing he's won the fight as he grabs a horn attached to his side, blowing into it to signify their army's retreat.

After the noise, all of the human soldiers begin to retreat over a nearby hill along with Falvi, leaving the vampires left there to cheer, thinking they've won the battle.

It isn't until moments after their retreat that Cassiel emerges from behind a rock..

His outfit is completely torn and ruined, leaving nothing to salvage for repair, not to mention his body is now covered in cuts and dirt, which has him in shambles.

"That bastard... if only I had all my power back..." Cassiel, defeated, walks across the battlefield to where his soldiers are.

"S-Sir—" One of the soldiers goes to Cassiel, before being cut off.

"Enough, I don't want to hear about it, I lost... let us head into the city while we can, those humans will be back after they replenish themselves." Cassiel says with a dim and serious face.

"Did any of you die?" Cassiel asks.

"Y-Yes... sir."

"Pathetic. How many, and how."

"We... lost thirteen... they died to a man in gold armor..."

"Don't blame yourselves for their weakness. Just know that all of you survived because you were stronger." Cassiel says, ending the conversation as they head inside the city walls.

.....

.....

As Cassiel was headed into the city, it's shown that Falvi and his soldiers have returned to a nearby fort made from the wood of the once nearby trees.

"Sir, please, head to the healers. You have multiple broken ribs, you shouldn't use your own power to heal yourself." A soldier says to Falvi. He's fitted in his own gold cladded armor, with a sword and shield combo to suit.

"Fine, Bathall, but look after the fort and have the soldiers know they are to be ready in three days time. That is when we will make our third, and final push into the city." Falvi says as he heads off into a big blue and white tent.

Bathall scoffs, believing he should be treated better, being a royal captain.

But, nevertheless, he does as Falvi asks.

.....

.....

With the scene shifting back to Cassiel, he goes to enter a small castle in the midst of the city, before being stopped by guards at the entrance.

"Back away, the lord is taking no visitors at this moment. There's a crisis going on, if you couldn't tell." One of the guards would say, blocking him with a long, silver headed halberd.

"The lord can not decide if he wants to see the king or not, now move." Cassiel responds to the guard.

The two guards look at each other, making one scoff as the other laughs.

"The current king is Thain Noir, and he looks nothing like you." The guard sighs.

"Just because you're a noble, it doesn't give you authority to see a lord. Now, again, back away while we're asking nicely."

Cassiel looks at the guards before giving a long sigh.

"I killed Thain Noir in a duel of power, meaning I am the new king. If you deny me any further then I will have to show you as I did him."

This response leaves both of the guards stunned to speak for a while, before the silence is broken with Cassiel walking past them and into the castle.

"Should... we stop him?"

"I... my brain is telling me to... but my body won't move."

"If anything happens... I blame you."

As Cassiel enters the castle, he stops for a minute to listen in as he hears shouting from a room off to his right, so he decides that's most likely where he has to head towards to find the city lord.

With the shouting growing ever louder, Cassiel finally makes a stop in front of a room as the shouting completely stops, as if the lord can feel his presence.

"...Come in."

"To be able to detect my presence like that... you're pretty strong, aren't you now?" Cassiel says, entering the room to face the city lord.

"You... you're Cassiel, aren't you..?" The city lord says with an astonished look, which leaves Cassiel with a shocked expression.

"You have a lot of questions to answer, I pray for your sake that you don't lie." Cassiel says, giving off a palpable killing intent.
