"A prosperity that stretches on until even the horizon is unobservable, grandeur so awe inspiring and tall that it stretches beyond the heavens and into the embrace of the cosmos...
Even under the authority level of your reflection, the weight of human history's height can cause it to crumble. What belonged in the past or will come from the future, it all stands to have its origin or end in the jade filled opulence. " (Eterna)
White jade, green jade, jade of myriad colours fill the sky with streams of light penetrating through its body. The world is eerily silent, and the air grows dim with all light sources blocked. This is an unending expanse of riches. A hop and another, she hits away their tough shafts and their durability speaks to her fear. A singular spear shoots through Sariel's chest as she dodge those aimed at her head. She couldn't react in time, she never could. The only reason she survived earlier was by making her body in vulnerable to attacks, but now that that has been addressed...
Several more spears fly into her lungs, puncturing delicate flesh and skewering skin to blooming flowers. Blood rushed out of her throat, choking her for a moment before it was hurled onto the ground. The gleaming crystals below the bloody puddle emanate with a hostile light, as if gloating that she could no longer avoid any wounds. She looked around, but she couldn't find Eterna. Before, a spear slips into her eyes.
"Uaaaaaaaaaaaaggghhhh!!!!!" (Sariel)
These jades are as unhindered as possible. They carry dense magic, dense beyond imagination.
"The magic is just a medium, like paper for a book. What they truly carry is culture. The culture of 11509 years, each jade stone holds that same amount. Culture is inevitable, culture is omnipresenr. Culture is humane, all of its power to ignore your little tricks... Come from humanity.
The humanity outside this mirror, not inside. It can surpass worlds-"(Eterna)
Her throat splits open and her head falls off her body in shock. Her body dropped to the ground, crawling towards her body.
" Shut up... When will you learn? Someone like you? Was once someone like me. " (Sariel)
Deities ascended from magical girls. They cry, they laugh. They watch the world live after they watched their own lives. No one is more human, no one has experience more of humanity than the observers. The good, the bad, the ugly, they've seen all of it. It's no exaggeration to call them an aggregate of human history, a coalition of cultures and beliefs.
They carry civilisation in their embrace, good or evil, once they're worshipped they inevitably lean towards moving forward for humanity's benefits. That's just their nature as daughters of culture. What about Eterna? Why forsake her own civilisation? Her own origin, her home.
" Your stupid jade wounded me, because they contained humanity's blessings. It is the combined strength of humanity made manifested into a physical form via your magic...
I get that. If I had let humanity get destroyed, this jade wouldn't have been able to hurt me. That's just life. " (Sariel)
Supernatural, the mystic and the divine. Nothing comes close to the absurdity of normal human life. Miracles stacked upon miracles to bring them into existence, they then create culture and meaning beyond a single lifetime. They birthed something that transcended all laws of the universe, information. Her measly spacial fabric manipulation instantly gave way to the attacks, that was to be expected.
However, by manifesting this realm, Eterna has declared herself a representative of humanity. A representative of all living beings in this universe, a representative of Sariel. Through that conceptual connection and the jade tipped parts of the spear lodged in her body... She used the insides of her body unaffected by the Oblivion Magia as space to cast {Swap} on the jades stuck in her wounds. Sending it all into Eterna's neck, they exploded like a grenade and sent her head off. It takes but an instant for her head to teleport back to its rightful place.
The jade could hurt Sariel, it could also hurt Eterna.
"How... How could you..." (Eterna)
"React? That's a secret." {Sariel}
She can cast {Swap} on her own body. So what if she never stopped casting it? That's what Alice's mental training led to. Marking her thoughts with magical energy, reading the state of her mind, using {Swap} to send forward her neural signals.
"Is this how you've been seeing the world? It's as if everything had come to an end." (Sariel)
As if time had stopped. Her time never moved again. She walked forward, under the heavy weight of humanity. How did Lastia... Yggdrasil feel that day? Had she carried the resolve to carry out deicide long ago? No, she was shaking in her own skin, but she went through with it anyway. It feels strange, she had been struggling in abject loneliness ever since her friends departed. Yet at this moment, she felt like they were just next to her. Right, like she was tracing her footsteps.
One step closes the distance, two prepares the heart. The third pierces her enemy's heart. Her fist had been thrown before she noticed, she could feel the heat leaving her knuckles. When she turned her head up, there was a wall of jade. Tough as chalk. How did she hit Eterna before the Oblivion Magia was deployed? How did she hit the jade wall now?
Her footsteps, a magical girl's ideals. A body shattered into infinite pieces, no longer carrying mass or resistance. An existence held together loosely by a set of beliefs. Every variable, every piece of herself logged and moved. A reality only the mirror could perpetuate, a world without past or future, where data of an idealised future can be superimposed on the present. Swapping a desirable reality over the present, one where her punch lands rather than misses. A combination only possible with Alice and Sariel. One that only works on another simulated entity.
With a second punch, the jade wall splits into shredded chunks. A third, it breaks skin. A forth, it shatters bones into dust. One after the other, her knuckles surpass space and time reaching a new destined future that was never within reach.
Second skill unlocked {Sorrows of a beloved maiden}, eventually she surpassed her genetic limit conferred by her species. That will be the minimum awarded to a child of abundance who has strived to defeat the end of origin and mystery. A goddess who represents the end of preceding eras and also the ruler of the current era, a being unbeatable by circumstance with conceptual advantage against everyone at this point in time.
Only the Primordial being who has surpassed even the concept of eras would threaten her, it was a matter of Eterna only existing and ruling in this era where no one could pose a danger to her. Well, now that has changed. Not even Arin or Yggdrasil could truly eliminate her. That has changed with the arrival of another who has surpassed the era, Sariel.
