Chapter 194 - Chapter 194 To underworld

Kuroka sat on the rooftop of the mansion, the night air a cool balm against her skin.

She was lost in thought, replaying the events that just happened.

She hadn't known Arthur before. She just met him today.

But for some reasons. It was like He knew her for a very long time.

It was very strange. However, she didn't focus on that.

She was focused on what he had told her.

"I must be dreaming, nyan."

She whispered to herself, her voice barely a sound.

The turn of events seemed too perfect, too impossible for someone who had spent years as a fugitive.

For so long, her life had been a series of close calls and endless running.

But now, someone had offered to help her clear her name. Could it really be this simple?

A deep-seated distrust gnawed at her.

"I don't know if I can trust him, Nyan,"

She mused, her tail flicking with uncertainty.

"But he's incredibly strong. Powerful beings are often too proud to lie, Nyann."

She was certain of this. Her intense emotions had now settled, leaving a sense of exhaustion that made her eyelids heavy.

She knew Arthur had done something to her, but she couldn't find it in her to care.

There was no malice in his actions.

"His dragon aura is so calming. It's unlike any I've ever felt."

With those thoughts, she drifted off to sleep, curled up on the cold tiles.

"I will have a good night today. Nyan."

Unbeknownst to her, Arthur had been watching her up close. He used Harry Potter world magic, even though she was an expert in Senjutsu.

She wouldn't be able to sense him.

Once she was finally asleep, he appeared silently and gently draped a soft blanket over her.

"See you around, big kitty,"

He whispered, a faint smile on his lips before he returned to his own room.

He knew that Kuroka would be around him in the future.

She might even want to have kits with him.

"As I have said before. I am not ready to be a dad yet."

The next morning, Rias was preparing to take her peerage back to the Underworld to meet with her older brother.

She extended an invitation to Arthur.

Hopefully, he wouldn't reject her.

Sirzechs wanted to formally meet with him.

Her family was also very curious about him.

He was the one who made the red dragon emperor of this generation very strong.

And he himself was a dragon as well.

"Anything but studying sounds great,"

Arthur replied with a grin. He was open to learning new things, but academia held no appeal for him anymore.

He had already gone through all of that, and the thought of returning to it was a bore.

With a nod, he agreed to join her and her peerage on their journey.

The group departed the Gremory mansion and made their way to the train station.

The atmosphere was a mix of excitement and nervous anticipation.

Rias, dressed in a stylish, form-fitting travel outfit, walked with a sense of purpose.

Her peerage—Akeno, Kiba, Koneko, and Issei—trailed behind, their conversations hushed.

Arthur, meanwhile, seemed completely at ease, his hands in his pockets as he took in the sights.

He could feel the latent magic and power from the Gremory peerage and the low-level supernatural beings that walked by, all oblivious to the world that existed just beneath the surface.

As they reached the station, a familiar face came into view. Sona stood with her own peerage.

Sona was a vision of poise and intelligence, her short hair perfectly in place and her glasses adding to her serious demeanor.

Her peerage, consisting of a diverse group of devils, stood respectfully behind her.

Among them was Genshiro Saji, Sona's Pawn, a young man with a cocky grin and a noticeable air of arrogance.

Rias and Sona exchanged warm greetings, their friendship evident in the way they smiled at each other.

"I'm glad we'll be traveling together, Rias,"

Sona said, her voice calm and composed.

"Me too, Sona,"

Rias replied.

"By the way, Arthur is coming with us."

Sona's eyes, sharp and intelligent, met Arthur's. She offered a small, polite nod.

"It's good to see you, Arthur."

Arthur gave her a genuine smile.

"Yep, the feeling is mutual."

Sona's lips curled into a faint smile.

She found his casual demeanor refreshing.

She remembered how his energy had soothed her mind and body, easing her anxiety and exhaustion in a way she hadn't thought possible.

It had created a subtle but powerful connection between them.

As they boarded the train, which was a special, magically-enhanced transport for high-level beings, Sona surprised her peerage by walking directly up to Arthur and settling into the seat next to him.

Her peerage exchanged confused glances. They knew their master was reserved and formal, especially around new acquaintances.

This casual display of closeness was completely out of character for her. Saji, in particular, felt a pang of jealousy.

He had been hoping to sit next to Sona, to use the travel time to get to know her better.

Now, a complete stranger was occupying that spot.

On Arthur's other side, Koneko silently claimed her seat.

The little Nekoshou, ever stoic and quiet, leaned into him, her small body radiating a warmth that was both comforting and familiar to Arthur.

She had developed a deep, almost instinctual trust in him. He had healed her mind with his gentleness.

From a distance, hidden by a powerful illusion, Kuroka watched the scene unfold.

She had secretly followed them, drawn by an irresistible urge to see what Arthur was up to.

She had woken up that morning wrapped in a soft blanket.

The warmth of the blanket had been a powerful confirmation of his sincerity.

She wanted to understand the man who had offered her kindness.

But seeing Koneko sitting so close to him a wave of annoyance washed over her.

"My little sister is too close to him, Nyan,"

She muttered under her breath, her tail flicking with a mix of jealousy and concern.

Meanwhile, the tense atmosphere between Arthur, Sona, and Koneko was interrupted by a disgruntled voice.

Genshiro Saji, unable to contain his jealousy, approached them with a sneer on his face.

"So you're the great Arthur everyone is talking about,"

He said, his tone laced with sarcasm.

"You seem like nothing special to me. Just another show-off."

Sona's eyes narrowed behind her glasses.

"Saji, that is enough,"

She warned, her voice sharp.

Saji ignored her, his eyes fixed on Arthur.

"You're just a wannabe dragon who got lucky. I'll bet I'm stronger than you."

Arthur's smile faded, replaced by a calm, hard expression.

He didn't raise his voice, but the air around him grew heavy, thick with an immense power.

Rude, disrespectful people were a nuisance, and he had no patience for them.

His voice was a low rumble, each word carrying the weight.

"You're lucky I'm in a good mood."

Saji, however, was too blinded by jealousy to heed the warning.

He puffed out his chest.

"Lucky? You are the one that is lucky? If it isn't for the President. I will teach you a lesson."

That was the last straw. Without a word, Arthur released a fraction of his true power.

It wasn't an attack, but a simple display of his aura.

A wave of pure, unadulterated Dragon Aura washed over the train.

It was like an invisible, crushing force.

The air thrummed with power, and the lights flickered and dimmed. The very floor of the train seemed to groan under the pressure.

Everyone in the car, including Rias and her peerage, as well as Sona's group, were brought to their knees.

The weight of Arthur's power was staggering. It wasn't an aggressive force, but a sheer, undeniable presence that made them all feel small and insignificant.

Even Issei felt cold sweat.

But the one who felt it the most was Saji.

The aura hit him like a physical blow, a tsunami of raw power. He crumpled to the floor, gasping for air, his body trembling uncontrollably.

His face went ashen, and he couldn't speak, his mind overwhelmed by the sheer, unbridled force.

He felt as if he were a tiny insect facing a mountain, a mere speck in the face of an impossible entity.

His arrogance and jealousy evaporated, replaced by pure, instinctual terror.

Arthur simply looked down at him, his eyes holding no emotion, no malice, just a cold, detached indifference.

"As I have said. You're quite lucky today, If you are not in Sona's peerage. I would have erased you."

He said softly, the weight of his words echoing in the stunned silence.

"Now, sit down and be quiet."

With that, Arthur withdrew his aura as quickly as he had unleashed it.

The pressure vanished, and everyone was able to breathe again.

Saji lay on the floor for a moment, completely paralyzed by primal fear, before scrambling back to his seat, his bravado gone.

He avoided making eye contact with anyone, especially Arthur.

The lesson had been taught, and it was a lesson he would never forget.

Sona gave Arthur a look that was a mix of appreciation and a slight reprimand.

It was okay if he focused on Saji alone but everyone was affected by his aura as well.

"Thank you for teaching him a lesson, but you went a little overboard."

Arthur simply shrugged, a small smirk returning to his face.

The air in the train car slowly returned to normal, but the memory of the dragon's power lingered, a chilling reminder of the true might that lay beneath his easygoing exterior.

For the rest of the journey, no one dared to speak, and the train continued its silent, purposeful journey into the Underworld.
