Chapter 200 - Chapter 200 Both is gud

Arthur found himself cornered by Serafall to finalize their "engagement." Rather than being dragged, he was swept along by the formidable Maou's boundless enthusiasm, which was a force of nature in itself.

As he was whisked away, he saw Sirzechs standing by the gate, looking like he had a hundred things he wanted to say.

Yet, seeing Serafall's utter glee, Sirzechs could only sigh in amusement and decide to postpone their serious conversation for another time.

Serafall's joyous antics were well-known, and Sirzechs trusted her completely.

He knew she would never use Arthur to do anything truly malicious.

As her younger sister, Sona, said her goodbyes to Sirzechs and apologized for Serafall's overly enthusiastic behavior, she turned to follow her.

But before she could, a new voice called out.

"Please bring us with you, nyaan."

It was Kuroka, standing with a demure-looking Koneko beside her.

Koneko had already gotten permission from Rias to visit the Sitri household.

Rias, ever understanding, had given her permission without a second thought.

Sona replied.

"Follow me."

Watching the trio depart, Sirzechs turned to his little sister.

He saw that she was interested in him when he was fighting with Serafall.

"Are you not interested in him?" he asked, a hint of concern in his voice.

Rias flashed him a genuine, easygoing smile.

"I am interested in him, but not in that way. I'm interested in him because he might share the same hobby as me."

She wasn't ready for a committed relationship.

What she truly craved was the freedom to explore her own interests and enjoy her own company, a luxury she hadn't had much of before.

Sirzechs felt a wave of relief wash over him.

"I see," he said, nodding in understanding.

Happy that no suitor would be pursuing his little sister just yet, he returned to his office.

He had a mountain of work to do, especially since Serafall had just announced her intention to become engaged to the very same man her little sister, Sona, was set to marry.

This news would undoubtedly send shockwaves throughout the entirety of Devil society.

"Hopefully, those old devils won't do anything stupid. But knowing them. They would."

Sirzechs sighed.

He wanted to eradicate them but could not at the moment as other factions would use this opportunity to suppress devil factions.

"And those stupid fans of hers as well. Just thinking about them made my head ache."

Many great noble devils had their sights set on either Serafall or Sona; for one man to be engaged to both was an unprecedented event.

Meanwhile, at Sitri Castle, Serafall arrived with Arthur, a beaming grin on her face.

"This way! I have to introduce you to my mom!" she exclaimed, dragging him by the hand through the grand halls.

The servants of the Sitri household were utterly astounded.

Their Maou daughter, who was usually a beacon of childlike energy and had a strict rule about personal space, was not only touching a man, but she was holding his hand and leading him through their home.

It was unheard of. Serafall had never been this close to anyone before—not even Sirzechs.

Lady Sitri was just on her way to speak with Serafall about Sona when she saw the two of them.

Her eyebrows shot up in surprise.

She had to double-check that her daughter hadn't, in a moment of protective Maou fury, kidnapped some poor boy who had offended Sona.

"Sera, dear, who is he?" she asked, her voice a mix of maternal concern and bewilderment.

"His name is Arthur!"

Serafall declared triumphantly, her voice echoing through the opulent hall.

"And he's going to be my and So-tan's fiancé!"

Lady Sitri blinked once, then twice, the words sinking in.

Sona, who was still on her way back, wouldn't be able to provide her own account just yet.

"Explain,"

Lady Sitri finally said, her tone no longer bewildered, but one of calm authority.

Serafall then explained the entire situation.

When she finished, a beautiful smile slowly spread across Lady Sitri's face.

"Even though he is the same man that Sona wishes to be engaged with, it doesn't matter at all," she said warmly, her gaze fixed on Arthur.

Serafall had become a Maou, a position that, by tradition, meant she had to relinquish any claim to inheriting the Sitri household.

But by marrying the same man as her little sister, she would once again be deeply connected to the family.

In all of Devil history, there had never been a time when a Maou would marry the same person as the heir of their former house.

It was a new, unprecedented arrangement that would solidify the Sitri lineage for generations.

"Please, Arthur-sama," she said, her voice filled with genuine warmth.

"Take great care of my daughters."

Arthur could only offer an awkward, but sincere, smile.

"Yes, I... I will take great care of the two of them."

The words felt inadequate, but he meant them.

He was now, somehow, tied to two of the most powerful women in the Underworld, and his life was about to get a whole lot more complicated in this world.

However, he wasn't someone who would back down from something like that.

Having Sitri house as his ally would undoubtedly help him fix this world for destruction.
