MHA Universe, Earth, Japan, Musutafu.
Time passed quickly after the first time Akatsuki, Sakura, Toshinori, and Izuku came to the building where Tatsuo and Alfonzo lived and worked, they made it a habit of coming over often. And with all the training they did together, Tatsuo, Akatsuki, Sakura, and Izuku created a rather strong friendship.
And that friendship continued at Aldera Middle School where Akatsuki, Sakura, and Izuku attended. And although Tatsuo did not attend the same school as the other three, they kept him in the loop about things that happened there.
For example, Izuku's frenemy, Bakugo Katsuki, after seeing that Izuku was starting to come out of his shell, tried to put him in his place, reminding him that someone without a [Quirk] should stay in their lane. However, before he could do anything drastic, Akatsuki and Sakura showed up to stop him.
On top of that, during that time, Tatsuo, Akatsuki, and Sakura convinced Izuku to tell Bakugo that he had a late [Quirk Awakening]. That way, a lot of the hostility from feeling like he had been looked down upon might be resolved before it caused all sorts of trouble like it did in the canon.
And to everyone's surprise, Bakugo, when he heard Izuku's story, actually breathed a small sigh of relief. Because despite the way he acted, Bakugo did actually care for Izuku, even if it was rather toxic.
Izuku and Bakugo had known each other for as long as either of them could remember. They had been best friends when they were small children, as well. But when Izuku failed to awaken a [Quirk], things changed. Though, that's not to say that Bakugo looked down on the [Quirkless]. Instead, it was because he knew Izuku's dream of being a Hero, which was quite the dangerous profession. Especially when you were [Quirkless]. So, in his own way, he tried to dissuade Izuku from trying to walk down such a dangerous path without the power to protect himself.
Of course, Bakugo never told him that. And he never would. Still, there was a reason behind his cruelty over the years. But even after finding out that Izuku had is [Quirk Awakening], Bakugo's personality did not change much. He still saw himself as superior
As for the members of the [Dimensional Chat], nothing out of the ordinary happened. Well, for the three students, at least. In Alfonzo's case, thanks to his work as a Hero, the number of people he helped, whether it be during disasters, villain attacks, or just helping people in the city where he lived, he climbed the Hero Ranking Billboard to third place, surpassing another young Hero known as Hawks.
Alfonzo also received quite the persistent stalker, as well.
After being on the same battlefield during a raid to defeat a group of villains, a certain female hero saw him fight in hand to hand combat. And the way he completely dismantled his opponent made her eager to fight him herself. And ever since then, whenever she got the chance, she ran to Musutafu to challenge him to a fight. Though, Alfonzo has always managed to give her the slip.
And just like that, the ten months everyone had to prepare for the U.A. High School Entrance Exam flew by quickly.
"Ugh! That Mirko chick is seriously annoying." Alfonzo grumbled as he descended into his building's top floor gym. "I couldn't even finish my patrol today because she keeps pestering me for a fight."
"I was wondering why you were here so early today." Tatsuo, about to start a relatively light workout after a day of school, said while adjusting a machine's weight. "I don't know why you don't just fight her and get it over with."
"Because something tells me that if I win, she'll just keep coming back." Alfonzo replied. "And when she comes back, she'll be even more determined to win than she is to just fight me."
"Probably." Tatsuo replied with a shrug. "But look at it on the bright side, at least she's hot."
"True." Alfonzo replied while nodding sagely. "Anyway, Toshinori and Midoriya should be here soon, right?"
"Yeah." Tatsuo replied with a nod. "All Might decided he would transfer his [Quirk] to Midoriya today. So, he asked that Akatsuki and Sakura did not come over today. Not that they don't know what's going on, though."
"Yeah, we did tell them about the world, after all." Alfonzo replied with another nod. "But for the sake of keeping Toshinori's secret, it's better that they pretend not to know."
Another thing of note that took place was the fact that Toshinori let Tatsuo in on his secret. The fact that his [Quirk], [One for All], was a [Quirk] that could be passed on between individuals. Also, that he, like Izuku, had been born [Quirkless] and [One for All] had been passed to him by his mentor. Though, he did not go into the specific details about the [Quirk]. Then again, neither Tatsuo nor Alfonzo thought he actually knew all that much about it. Especially after the way he "mentored" Izuku in its usage in the canon.
*Ding!* *Dong!*
"Looks like they're here." Tatsuo said casually. "Do you want me to get it."
"Yeah, if you don't mind." Alfonzo replied. "I'm gonna change out of my costume."
Nodding in response, Tatsuo turned towards the gyms door. Then, while Alfonzo moved towards the changing room, he made his way towards the front door.
Arriving quickly, Tatsuo wasted no time opening the door. And just as expected, Toshinori and Izuku were standing there, both looking rather excited. Though, Izuku also looked quite nervous, as well.
"Good evening, Young Soramoto." Toshinori said while wearing All Might's signature smile, despite being in his skinny civilian form.
"Uh… Hey, Soramoto-Kun." Izuku said quietly. Though, his tone was a lot more confident than it was when they met nearly ten months ago.
"Hey, you two." Tatsuo said as he stepped back and made room for the pair to enter. "So, today's the day, huh?""
"Indeed." Toshinori replied. "It's time for me to pass the torch to the next generation."
Toshinori then patted Izuku firmly on the shoulder.
"I'm sure with young Heroes like the two of you, the world will find peace like never before." Toshinori said confidently.
While Tatsuo only shrugged his shoulders, knowing that he would only spend so much time in this world, Izuku wore an expression mixed with gratitude, nervousness, and excitement for the future.
"Anyway, let's head up to the gym." Tatsuo said as he closed the door. "Alfonzo just got back from patrol and is changing out of his costume."
"Hmm? He's rather early today." Toshinori said, a quizzical expression on his face.
"That's because a certain murder rabbit came to Musutafu today." Tatsuo said with a teasing smile. "And you know how she is whenever she finds Alfonzo."
"Ah! Yes." Toshinori replied with a nod of understanding. "Mirko can be rather… enthusiastic when she finds someone she's interested in fighting."
Hearing that, Izuku's eyes widened to a comical degree.
"Wait! The Rabbit Hero, Mirko, is in the city?" Izuku asked excitedly. "She's the No. 8 Pro Hero right now. But doesn't she usually work in Hiroshima?"
"That's actually a misconception." Toshinori replied while he and Izuku followed Tatsuo up to the gym. "Mirko actually works all over the country. Thanks to her [Quirk], she's able to leap from place to place with great speed."
"I see." Izuku muttered as he reached into the workout bag he brought with him and pulled out a notebook before beginning to scribble in it quickly. "I guess that makes sense. She's been seen saving people and taking down villains, with a lot more of the latter, everywhere. But I thought that was just because she was called in to help a lot."
The trio continued to chat lightly as they made their way to the gym. By the time they arrived, Alfonzo was standing in the center of the gym in casual clothing and smiling at them.
"Hey, what's up, guys?" Alfonzo asked as the trio entered the gym. He then turned to Izuku with a smile. "So, are you ready to be the next Symbol of Peace, Midoriya?"
"Huh? What? Oh… Um…" Izuku, startled out of his note taking, sputtered in response to Alfonzo's question. He then quickly put his notebook away and looked down at the ground while replying quietly. "Honestly, I don't know if I can live up to All Might's legacy."
A moment later, Izuku raised his head with fierce determination burning in his eyes.
"But… I promise to do my best to help as many people as I can." Izuku replied, his tone a lot steadier. He then looked in Toshinori's direction, gratitude overflowing from his gaze. "Just like All Might does. With a reassuring smile on my face."
Hearing that, Toshinori couldn't help smiling with pride.
'I knew I picked the right person.' Toshinori thought to himself. 'The future will be in your hands, Young Midoriya.'
Mentor and student exchanged glances in a moment of comfortable silence.
"Yeah, that sounds dumb as hell." Tatsuo said nonchalantly.
"What!?" Toshinori and Izuku exclaimed in unison.
"Why would you say that, Soramoto-Kun?" Izuku asked, clearly not understanding where Tatsuo was coming from. "What's wrong with wanting to help as many people as I can?"
"Yes… Is there something wrong with what Young Midoriya said?" Toshinori asked, just as confused.
"No, there's nothing wrong with wanting to help people." Tatsuo replied while shaking his head. He then turned to look Izuku in the eyes. "What sounded dumb as hell is that you think you have to live up to All Might's legacy. And that you want to do things just the way he did. That's the dumb part."
Both Toshinori and Izuku widened their eyes in disbelief when they heard that.
"Look, I'm no Hero." Tatsuo said, deciding to explain to the musclehead and the hero fanatic.
"Not yet, at least." Alfonzo cut in with a cheesy smile.
"But I do know that trying to be someone or something you're not, isn't the way to live life." Tatsuo continued while ignoring Alfonzo. "Instead of trying to live up to All Might's legacy or doing things just like he does, why don't you start your own legacy and do things your own way?"
"I don't understand…" Izuku said, not understanding why following in All Might's footsteps would be a bad thing.
"Look, dude." Tatsuo said, deciding that this would be the last time he tried to talk to someone so obsessed with something or someone like this. "You're not All Might. You're Midoriya Izuku. So, do things the way you would do them."
Tatsuo then gestured towards Toshinori.
"There's no doubt that All Might is possibly the greatest Hero the world has ever seen." Tatsuo continued. "But he's not very bright. I mean, sure, his combat intelligence is off the freakin' charts. But that's mostly because punch first and think about it later works for him."
"I am standing right here, you know." Toshinori muttered while scratching his head with an uncomfortable expression on his face. "Calling me dumb right to my face is rather rude, Young Soramoto."
Ignoring Toshinori's complaints, Tatsuo kept going as if he did not hear the Symbol of Peace at all. Meanwhile, Alfonzo was trying his best to not laugh in the man's face.
"You, on the other hand, you tend to think about everything." Tatsuo said while gesturing towards Izuku. "You make great analyses, and you think of contingencies. The exact opposite of the muscle headed approach. So, take full advantage of that."
"Ah! I get it." Izuku, after a few moments of contemplative silence, said with is eyes wide open in realization. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
"Does that mean you think I'm dumb, too, Young Midoriya." Toshinori asked, sounding even more deflated than usual.
Izuku could only smile wryly at Toshinori, his eyes saying that was not the case.
"Besides that, you'll need time to get used to the new [Quirk]." Alfonzo said after curbing the impulse to laugh at Toshinori's kicked puppy expression. "There's no guarantee that you'll be able to handle [One for All's] full output right away. So, fighting like Toshinori might actually do more harm than good."
"Huh?" Izuku intoned, completely confused by Alfonzo's explanation. "But isn't that why I've been training so hard for all this time?"
In response, Alfonzo only looked at Toshinori with a tired expression on his face.
"*Sigh* Toshinori, were you as strong as you are now when you first got [One for All]?" Alfonzo asked.
"Hmm… Probably not." Toshinori replied while rubbing his chin in thought. "But I never injured myself or anything when I first got it, so Young Midoriya should be fine, too."
"See?" Tatsuo and Alfonzo said in unison after hearing All Might's answer.
"Midoriya." Tatsuo continued. "Do you think anyone with a [Quirk] has been able to use it at its full potential from the moment it awakened?"
"No. I know how hard Kacchan has trained his [Quirk] over the years." Izuku replied while shaking his head.
"Then, does it make sense that you'd be able to use [One for All] seamlessly the moment Toshinori passes it on to you?" Alfonzo followed up.
"Uh… Probably not." Izuku replied, sounding a bit less confident.
"Then, you have to consider." Tatsuo said, taking over again. "What if you get the [Quirk], and it's already at the same level of development as All Might? Do you think your body is prepared to handle that amount of strain?"
Instead of replying immediately, Izuku stopped to think about throwing a punch like All Might. Yet, instead of having a build like his idol, he was doing so with his still then, if not quite muscular, arms.
And the conclusion he came to made him widen his eyes in horror while cold sweat began streaming down his face.
"No way! If I put that much strain on my body right now, my arm would explode if I thew one of All Might's [Smashes]!" Izuku exclaimed loudly with panic in his tone.
"Exactly." Tatsuo and Alfonzo replied in unison once again.
"Really? Would it really be that bad?" Toshinori asked while scratching his head once again.
"See?" Tatsuo and Alfonzo said in unison for a third time.
"Then… what should I do?" Izuku asked in a pleading tone.
"First, let's get the transfer out of the way." Alfonzo said casually.
"Yeah, let's do that." Toshinori, glad that the All Might bashing was over, added enthusiastically. "We can figure out the best way to help you get used to [One for All] after that."
While Tatsuo and Alfonzo only rolled their eyes at Toshinori's complete willingness to change the subject, Izuku nodded his head in agreement. However, when they watched Toshinori pull out a strand of hair and hold it out to Izuku, they all widened their eyes in confusion. Though, Tatsuo's and Alfonzo's confusion was feigned.
"Uh… What am I supposed to do what this, All Might?" Izuku asked in a skeptical tone.
"Eat it." Toshinori said seriously.
While Tatsuo only looked on blankly, mainly because he did not know what to say, even having already seen this scene on a monitor in his past life, Alfonzo's mind was drifting back to a memory from a few months ago in his world.
"That sounded a lot hotter when Irene said it.' Alfonzo thought to himself. 'Though, the fact that her pussy was in my face when she did probably had a lot to do with it.'
As he continued thinking back to that night, Alfonzo's expression turned into one filled with fondness and obscenity.
"Do I really have to?" Izuku asked, clearly not on board with eating someone's hair, as he accepted the strand of hair from Toshinori.
"Yes, it's the only way for me to transfer my [Quirk] to you." Toshinori replied. "I had to do the same thing when my Master transferred it to me, too."
"Yeah, but you were completely head over heels for her, right?" Alfonzo asked after snapping back to the here and now. "So, even if that wasn't the only way to do it, you would have gladly eaten a strand of her hair, right?"
"No-Nonsense!" Toshinori stuttered back in reply as his face turned beet red. "I am not that kind of degenerate. Besides, she was my Master. I did not harbor such impure thoughts towards her."
Hearing such a powerful rebuttal, Tatsuo and Alfonzo could not help laughing at Toshinori, who continued to defend his honor. Meanwhile, Izuku continued to stare at the strand of hair in his hand for a while. Then, after making up his mind, he raised the strand of hair over his head, tilted his head back, and opened his mouth. Then, with determination shining in his eyes, he released the hair, allowing it to fall directly into his mouth.
