I look at Su Gia. She understood what I needed. She grabs the medicine box and places it on the table next to the bed. I grab the cloth where I keep my needles for acupuncture.
I start putting needles in her head, body, arms, and thighs. I made sure her major veins will help her existing poison win out over the new one. "What happened to her in that border?" I ask again.
Song Jialun speaks. "It's my fault. I didn't notice that she was struggling herself. She continues to fight despite the fact that she's already wounded. The arrows that the enemy uses are drenched with different types of poison."
I look at him and notice how guilty his expression is. "People who blame themselves are the coward ones. Don't feel guilty for something that the people you love did for you," I stated, adding another needle in her head.
