The nurse finished her notes, then tore a sheet from her pad and handed it forward.
"These are additional medicines he will need over the next few days," she said. "Some are not stocked in our hospital pharmacy. You may need to get them outside."
Before Bella could reach for it, Jay stepped forward and took the list from the nurse's hand.
"I'll get it," he said immediately.
The nurse gave a small nod. "Try to get them as soon as possible."
"I will," Jay replied.
She gave Leo one last check, then stepped back. "Call if anything changes," she said gently before leaving the room.
The door closed quietly behind her.
Jay looked down at the paper, scanning the names, though he did not understand most of it.
Bella watched him for a second, then looked back at Leo.
The room fell into silence again, filled only with the soft rhythm of machines and slow breathing.
Jay folded the paper carefully and slipped it into his pocket. "I'll go now," he said quietly.
