Flora soared through the forest skies, her emerald wings shimmering like sunlight scattered through dew. Below her, chaos reigned — monstrous demons were tearing through the shimmering barrier that protected the fairy realm. The once serene forest was now a battlefield of roaring flames and desperate cries.
A blazing phoenix swooped next to her, its crimson feathers trailing sparks across the smoky air.
"Garuda, take all the spirits who can't fight to the castle!" she commanded, her voice fierce yet strained. "Bring everyone who can. And most importantly, let nothing happen to Luke and his son!"
"Yes, my queen."
As Garuda obeyed, Flora summoned a gust of wind that snuffed out the fire devouring the nearby trees.
"I can't stop the forest from burning while I'm fighting," she groaned, frustration echoing in her tone. Thunder rolled through the heavens as black clouds gathered. With a sharp motion of her hand, icicles formed midair — then ignited into flaming shards of hail. They rained down upon the invading beasts, piercing their bodies before bursting into embers.
This was the power of the Fairy Queen — ruler of nature's might, bearer of all its fury and beauty. Yet even with her strength, Flora knew why she had lost before, and why she might lose again: their enemy's leader was no ordinary creature. It was an ancient elemental dragon, older than time itself, capable of spawning an infinite army of monsters.
A white leopard with onyx spots emerged from the shadows, pouncing upon a demon and tearing it apart with feral grace.
"I'm back, my queen," Garuda cried, his wings aflame in golden light. "And I've brought reinforcements!"
Turning, Flora saw a legion of forest spirits rushing forward — glowing figures of mist and leaf, ready to defend their home.
"I'm going to take out their leader once and for all," she declared, raising her hand. "I entrust the forest to you. Make me proud."
She lifted her arm high. "Maelstrom Execution!"
A blue-black vortex erupted around her, swallowing demons by the dozens. Lightning danced through the storm, electrocuting the beasts until nothing remained but ash and charred bone.
"I'm leaving the rest to you," Flora said softly. "This war ends today."
With that, she flew headfirst through the barrier and into the infernal realm beyond.
The temperature spiked instantly. Red skies stretched endlessly above a wasteland of molten rivers and scattered bones. Flames crackled across the scorched plains. And there — hovering amidst magma and ruin — was the creature she sought: the dragon. Behind it, thousands of pulsating demon eggs awaited their hatching.
"I am Flora, Queen of the Forest," she declared, her voice echoing through the fiery expanse. "I demand that you cease your attack, or face the consequences!"
The dragon's laughter shook the air. "You? Kill me? You barely survived against a lesser wyrm. What makes you think you'll fare any better this time?"
"I don't know," she said, summoning every ounce of courage she had left. "But I'll still fight. You've hurt my people for the last time."
Water, earth, wind and lightning coiled around her body, weaving together like living threads.
"Let's end this… now."
---
Sarah stood atop a pile of undead skeletons, her breath ragged, her sword slick with blood. The once lush building walkway was now drenched in crimson, its soil steaming from the clash of magic and steel. In her hand, she held Sabrina's severed head — though even now it was fading away like mist.
" Damn it, I let her escape. She really is dangerous…" Sarah muttered, kicking a stone aside. "Can today get any worse?"
As if answering her words, Sylph, the tiny wind spirit, began spinning frantically before her — a warning sign.
"Slow down, girl. What's wrong?" Sarah asked, cupping the trembling fairy.
"My home's in danger," Sylph whispered directly into her thoughts.
Sarah didn't hesitate. "What are you waiting for then, let's go."
A surge of light enveloped them, and in the next instant, they appeared in the Fairy Queen's Forest — now engulfed in flames. Smoke curled into the air, painting the sky with ash. The cries of spirits filled the air as demonic beasts tore through their ranks.
"Spirit Manifestation!" Sarah shouted. Her body began to glow, her hair lifting in the wind as she took flight. "I just wanted one day of rest… is that too much to ask?"
Gathering what little mana she had left, she conjured a torrent of water that doused the flames. But she could feel her energy draining fast.
"Sylph, we have to conserve mana. I'm almost out of juice," she muttered, summoning a sword of condensed light and driving it clean through a demon's skull.
Then — something fell from the barrier above, trailing smoke and fire. Sarah's eyes widened as she recognized the aura.
"Flora!" she screamed, sprinting forward.
The Fairy Queen lay broken and burned, her once radiant wings blackened. Blood seeped from her wounds.
The dragon emerged behind her, its laughter echoing like thunder. "She was right about one thing — this war ends today!"
"Sylph! Heal Flora, now!" Sarah ordered telepathically.
As Sylph began her spell, the dragon loomed over them, heat waves distorting the air.
"Well, I suppose I'll end both your lives together," it sneered, flames gathering in its throat.
Sarah's heart pounded. If only I had more mana… I could teleport us out, or even fight… But deep down, she knew — this was the end.
The dragon exhaled — a torrent of annihilation.
Sarah closed her eyes.
And felt… nothing.
When she opened them, a figure stood between them and the flames — untouched, calm, divine.
"Who are you?!" the dragon roared, fury trembling in its voice.
Sarah's heart stopped. "Jayden… is that you?"
The young man smiled softly. "Kind of. I've seriously missed you, Mother."
His gaze turned toward the dragon, and in that instant, the air froze. Rage burned in his golden eyes, and the mighty dragon — a beast of nightmares — stepped back in fear.
"You were about to hurt my mother," he said quietly. "Apologize. Now."
The dragon bellowed, trying to regain his pride. "Don't defy me, human! I'll make you pa—AAARRRGGGHH!"
"Not an apology, huh?" Jayden's smile darkened. The dragon's wings fell to the ground, severed cleanly.
"I'll be right back, Mother. I'm just going to teach this lizard a lesson."
A wall of gray smoke erupted, hiding the scene. When it cleared, Jayden — or rather, Fantasy — stood over the dragon's smoldering corpse, its body pierced by countless weapons of every kind.
"Guess the dragon isn't fireproof." Jayden chuckled.
He turned to Sarah and Flora, placing a hand on each. Instantly, Flora's wounds vanished, and Sarah felt her mana surge back, stronger than ever.
"And as a little parting gift… Evolve."
Power flooded through them — twice as strong as before.
Jayden embraced his mother tightly. "Can you handle the rest here? I have something to deal with."
"Fine," Sarah said, narrowing her eyes. "But I expect an explanation."
"Jayden will explain everything later," Fantasy replied with a wink. Turning to Flora, he added, "Watch over my mother for me, will you?"
Then, in a flash, he vanished — reappearing amidst the stars in space.
"You can come out now, you useless dog," he said into the void.
"As expected of the strongest one, Fantasy."
Space itself twisted, and a figure stepped out — humanoid, but with claws, long dark-brown hair, and eyes like dying suns.
"My master requests your presence," the being said coldly. "Come willingly… or die by my hand."
Fantasy sighed, stretching lazily. "Seriously? Again? Fine then. A human versus a celestial. This should make headlines."
