Chapter 51 - Chapter 50: The body she chose

During the match between Kevin Dominic and Lucas Volt, General Lance went to the Kingdom's organization in charge of taking care of crimes and problems secretly without alerting the citizens.

In the command unit of Avarice Secret Service, ASS, General Lance and a few members of ASS, who were on standby were patrolling the capital through the eyes of a spirit eagle.

A holographic version of Sarah was there as well and was giving out instructions to the knights on standby.

"Mom, we've spotted one of the undead, it has intellect unlike the others we've seen before, and we're currently fighting it, it's strong, real strong and they are people living here so we can't fight at full strength. Can you track me?" Myra communicated telepathically through Marigold, the fairy always with her.

"Yes, I can, we'll send backup immediately, stay safe." Sarah replied as she honed in on Marigold's position.

"Where exactly are you Sabrina Page?"

…..........…..

Sabrina sneezed lightly. "Oh, someone's looking for me. Have I already become famous?"

She walked through an alley with an invisibility coat and arrived at the stadium. Sneaking through, trying to avoid contact with anyone to prevent suspicion was quite difficult as the place was full to the brim with people.

She opened her hand and looked at a compass before continuing forward.

"Not using magic is harder than I thought." she sighed as she followed the compass. "Sneaking in here was the hardest part of this plan. Now I have to rely on gadgets. Well, it's all for the prize." Sabrina said to herself as she entered the infirmary.

The stadium's infirmary was quite spacious with room for quite a number of people.

Looking around past the beds, she spotted three people, one sitting down with two lying on beds.

Approaching closer, she saw what she was looking for, by her side on the chair, a man sleeping and another boy on a bed.

"Oh, there you are," Sabrina smiled, ignoring the two men as she walked over to Nadia's recovering body.

"What are you doing here…"

A small green fairy hovered quietly above Nadia.

Watching.

Waiting on alert.

"Wait… oh she's already onto me. That damned Reginald woman. Well, she's too late." Sabrina laughed as she used dark mana to destroy the fairy above Nadia.

"Now for the transfer." She chanted different words that did not sound human before a symbol carved itself on Nadia's body. "That's good, now to plant the bomb."

Now that her main mission had been completed, she had time for some fun and turning towards the two men, she went to inspect them.

"Seems this boy lost his fight, his mana was almost completely depleted, must have been a close fight."

"There's almost a hundred percent chance that this is her father" Sabrina said as she rubbed against Nadia's father head with her hand.

"They probably brought her here to keep receiving treatment due to how good the mages here are. Such a good father, staying by their daughter's side even when tired."

Removing her hand from his head and stretching out her hand to turn them in to undead, all of a sudden, she started to have a very disturbing headache.

"What's this? Was I put under a spell?" Sabrina thought as she she held her head as her vision started to blur.

Finally, she figured what it was, there was a blessing on him, a protective one at that.

"Fuck, I can't waste time here, I'll be back later to kill you guys." Sabrina thought as she walked out.

"Telon, execute phase one."

….............…

"They're more than we thought and it looks like they're all attacking simultaneously. Rank 6 are not going to be enough to handle it, we need more back up." A holographic image of Sarah said, appearing before the king.

"I'll go along with some high grade Knights." Kyrian said as he stood up from his chair, overhearing their conversation.

"Are you sure Kyrian?" King Clenor said as he stood up

"Yeah I'm sure. People listen to me, plus I need the action." Kyrian said as looking at his reflection, he looked at his hair that was more white than rainbow.

The colour of his hair signified how much magic he had stored up, he could borrow mana from people, through damage or absorbing mana, whereas for elemental magic, he could just absorb their mana, making him able to use their magic, that is, equivalent to the mana he collected.

The name of this magic was Key magic.

Kyrian ran downstairs at the order after collecting a bit of wind magic from Luke. "Simon Zain your powers and position are going to give you a bit of use today." Kyrian thought with a grin.

….............…

Kevin stood still, his transformation still on as Jayden entered.

He had already received a full mana resupply and energy regain that put him back in top condition.

"I won't say this was unexpected in the least." Kevin said.

"Don't get cocky with me, you record thief, you just had to steal my record."

Kevin didn't reply but gave him a wide grin, the first he had seen from him since the tournament had began.

"Well, whatever, at least I can give you a legal ass-whooping now and win the tournament, that's a double win."

"I'd like to see you try" Kevin dared.

"That's it, BREAK!"

 Ready on both sides.

"You bet."

"Sure."

"Then... Fight!"

The second the words came out, the two we're already on the move, after all this wasn't just the finals , this was the predetermined fight between the two strongest.

"Soul weapon 24th wielder."

Two large axes formed in each hand.

"Using this guy's soul weapon always hurts my brain, due to his over excessive love to be a legend, it still affects me now, but I can't deny he was just too skilled." Gripping the axes tightly Kevin looked up at Jayden and sighed "Let's do this."

In an instant both had swapped places and the ground cracked.

"Oh you wanna go" Jayden shouted as Xelvicar came to his hand and he lunged at Kevin.

Sparks of blue and yellow clashed as they ran around the ring.

Jayden swung the sword down and Kevin blocked the blow as he crossed the axes in an X-position to block.

Due to to the abnormal strength that Jayden possessed, the impact still forced them downward.

Aiming for a strike through his chest, he was about to slash Kevin when he used his bare hands to parry the sword.

"What the hell?"

"Simple, I'm using your force against you." Kevin said, pushing the flat side of the sword away as he kicked Jayden at his side and drove a blow into his face.

Xelvicar tried to hit Kevin but he blocked it with his shield.

Jayden skidded back.

"Okay, enough fighting like a swordsman, it's magic time."

Suddenly, stones rose up and started to fly towards Kevin who slashed them away while moving forward.

Kevin flew into the sky avoiding the ground which turned into mud as a giant hand rose up.

Slamming it with the hammer, the hand was blasted away.

Rain of lightning and fire covered the entire stadium as Jayden jumped towards Kevin in the sky.

"Okay this is getting out of hand. Aura Extension: The All-knowing."

Throwing his glasses away, Kevin's view of everything turned blue as angles, lines, arcs, tangents anything scientific appeared on everything showing each attack, it's trajectory, it's predicted landing place and the effect.

This was the ability accumulated by all the previous users of IQ magic, the Pinnacle of Knowledge, but it had a drastic effect, the longer it was used, it weakened the user as no normal brain could handle the amount of information being flooded for long, with the sole exception of Jayden Reginald.

FLASH STEP.

Kevin was at Jayden's back and he dragged his clothes and threw him directly to an open space where the barrage of lightning attacks just landed.

"How did he know where it will land? Whatever, it's my turn now."

Appearing before Kevin, he blew out a wind attack which pushed Kevin back and dashing forward delivered a punch on Kevin's jaw which sent him spiraling into the ground.

"My force was off, he shifted his face at the last second to avoid collecting the full damage." Jayden thought as he saw Kevin now with a kind of nun chucks.

"Soul weapon: 25th wielder."

Kevin stood up from the ground holding a long black metal rod which was connected by chains to two other metal rods on each side, each rod as long as his arm.

Jayden landed on the ground and was about to attack when he had a very dreadful feeling, a feeling he had felt before but different. Stronger and more evil.

Kevin who saw something as well from the future also turned to see the approaching person.

They both turned slowly towards the entrance to the ring where a dark figure emerged from.

"Transfer complete, now onto phase two." Sabrina said as she majestically walked out to the ring holding the head of one of the guards.

With a simple swipe of her hand, the barrier cracked and collapsed without resistance.

"Nadia? But logic disruption is reacting to her and Kevin's also worried. Is that truly her."

Jayden was pushed out of his thoughts as a huge explosion that shook the entire stadium was heard outside.

"Jayden Reginald… we finally meet again."

She tilted her head slightly as she flashed an evil grin.

"Hope you don't mind the body."
