Chapter 138 - Ch 137 - Ghost in Eternal Hell

Luffy stood in the narrow, echoing corridor of the fifth floor of Impel Down, his hands in his pockets and a sly smirk tugging at his lips. He turned toward Sadi and Domino, who were still watching him with suspiciously playful eyes. He scratched the back of his head and let out an awkward laugh.

"Oi, uh... where's the washroom?" He asked, tilting his head innocently.

Domino blinked, immediately straightening.

"Rear Admiral Luffy, I must advise against it. Warden Magellan is currently inside... dealing with his usual... episodes," She said delicately, her expression slightly pale. "It's a biohazard down there. Life-threatening, really."

Glurgle...! SPLASH!

A horrifying, wet, monstrous sound vibrated from below as if hell itself had a stomachache. Luffy's eyes twitched.

"Tch… just hearing that gave me nausea," He muttered, face wrinkled.

Sadi, on the other hand, chuckled softly and stepped close, her leather whip dangling from her belt.

"Oh, poor Luffy-chan. If you need to go that badly, I could let you use my private bathroom~" She purred, licking her bottom lip in amusement.

Luffy's eyes narrowed.

"Tempting... but that'd be rude," He said, playing along, then patted his stomach. "No worries. I'll brave the lava floods. Can't let a man's pride be flushed away!"

Domino rolled her eyes. "You're insane."

But before either of the women could press further, Luffy was already turning the corner, walking casually toward the lavatory with his coat fluttering dramatically behind him.

ZWWMMMP!

The moment he was out of sight, the air around him warped, and he vanished.

Eternal Hell – Level 6

In a flash of pale light, Luffy reappeared deep in the bowels of the infamous prison—the Eternal Hell. The air was cold, heavy, and soaked with dread. Thick metal bars and seastone cages lined the massive hall, and the torches burned low with dim, flickering flames.

The prisoners here weren't just dangerous—they were monsters in human skin.

Luffy had already scouted out the Den Den Mushi surveillance paths when he visited earlier. He slipped through the blind spots like a shadow, coating his steps to mask his presence.

A black cloak replaced his Marine coat, and a simple mask covered his face.

"GUHHHH!?"

A ragged scream rang out from one of the cells as a thin, twitchy man stumbled back from the bars. "A-A GHOST! I SWEAR TO GOD I SAW A GHOST!"

He tripped over a rusted dishpan and fell face-first.

His cellmate glared at him with bloodshot eyes. "You just licked a moldy bone and smoked dried banana peels, you lunatic. There ain't no ghost down here."

"No, no, I SWEAR!! He was there—black cloak! RED EYES!! Then—POOF!—he vanished!"

The other prisoners turned to him with a mix of pity and annoyance. One big brute snorted, "The only ghost you saw was your will to live leaving your body."

BOOM! HAHAHAHA!

A chorus of mocking laughter echoed through the halls as the poor pirate cried in the corner, hugging a rat for comfort.

But far from their laughter, hidden behind a crumbling pillar, Luffy stood still, heart steady, eyes locked forward.

"There you are," He whispered.

His steps were silent, precise. He halted in front of a reinforced seastone cell, its entire front encased in ice. Behind that frozen wall sat a man, a mountain of muscle and rage, forever imprisoned in time.

Byrnndi World - The World Destroyer.

His breath had ceased, suspended in frozen stasis, but the monstrous aura still pulsed faintly. Luffy could feel it, like standing next to a sleeping dragon.

He clenched his fists instinctively. His original plan surged to the front of his mind—smash the cell, crush World before he could react, disappear before the chaos fully erupted.

But then his sharp mind kicked in, calculating the risks.

He stared at the seastone bars thoughtfully, the torchlight reflecting off their glossy surfaces.

Damn it... with this much seastone, my Wapu Wapu powers are useless here, he thought, jaw tightening. I'd have to physically break the cell to get in.

He imagined the scene—the thunderous crash of the broken prison, the alert sirens blaring, the flood of jailers, the attention of every prisoner, and Magellan's fury descending like a storm.

One hit, and this whole place will explode into a nightmare.

Luffy exhaled slowly, glancing up at the frozen mountain of a man.

He wasn't stupid—he knew that giving Byrnndi World even a second to wake up could unleash catastrophic destruction.

No doubt about it: World was a monster who couldn't be allowed to roam free again.

Luffy's fingers tapped rhythmically against his thigh, his mind racing.

I need another way. Something clean, quiet, and precise.

A spark flashed in his mind. His lips curled into a grin beneath his mask.

"I don't need to break in..." He whispered.

He opened his System Panel, and the floating translucent menu appeared only to his eyes. His fingers navigated the interface swiftly. He opened the Shop, navigating to the weapons section with practiced speed.

He selected the iconic twin pistols:

[Ebony & Ivory – Devil May Cry Edition]

Custom-modified for Advanced Armament Haki integration.

He grinned.

"Let's give these beauties a test run."

They materialized in his hands with a shimmer—sleek, black and silver, humming faintly with Haki. He crouched down, bracing the guns, channeling his will into each chamber.

CRRRRRK!

The air around him compressed, the barrels glowing faintly.

"Say goodnight, 'World. '"

BANG! BANG!

Twin thunderclaps shattered the stillness.

The sound echoed through Level 6 like divine judgment. Metal creaked. Prisoners jumped in their chains. Dust exploded off the walls.

SHHHRRRRCK!

The ice cracked, and a spiderweb of fissures bloomed over Byrnndi World's icy tomb.

CRACK!!

It shattered. His frozen body jerked once, then slumped forward—two precise holes marked his end.

One bullet embedded in the forehead and the other one buried in the heart.

There was no wasted motion or mercy.

The Eternal Hell held its breath.

"What the... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

"WHO SHOT THAT?!"

"IS HE DEAD?!"

The air buzzed with confusion and disbelief. Several prisoners jumped to their feet, chains clanking as they pressed against the bars, trying to see.

But there were a few who didn't move.

Red Earl Patrick leaned back against the wall, eyes gleaming in the low light. He chuckled, lips curling into an amused grin.

"Interesting. So the brat's got claws," He mused, his voice deep and smooth.

Douglas Bullet opened one eye, then smirked. "Hmph. One less rival. Figures it'd be him."

And across the level, a silent observer with a cruel smile whispered, "This is gonna be fun."

Luffy didn't stick around for the applause. With a flick of his fingers, he vanished again, leaving nothing but the scent of cold steel and a dead man behind.

ZWWMMMP!

Back near the fifth floor, he emerged in the shadows of the hallway, brushing invisible dust off his cloak.

"Phew… in and out. That was fun," He said with a small grin.
