Lin Mo's face instantly paled, and the nearby monitor began to blare a shrill, piercing alarm.
Li Bin was startled. How could this be happening?
Seeing this, Lin Zhan could no longer maintain his gentlemanly composure and immediately grabbed Li Bin by the collar. "You... you bastard, what did you do?"
"Teacher... save me," Li Bin cried, looking toward Zhang Fengtian in fright.
Zhang Fengtian reacted at once, taking Lin Mo's pulse. His brow furrowed deeper and deeper. What exactly was wrong with her? He simply couldn't figure it out.
"What exactly is wrong with my daughter?" Lin Zhan demanded.
"I..." Zhang Fengtian was at a loss for words.
Seeing this, Lin Zhan felt a murderous rage build inside him. What a useless pair of master and disciple!
"All of you, shut up!" Lin Zhan roared. "If anything happens to my daughter, I don't care who's backing you. I'll trade my own life to make sure you both accompany her to the grave."
Zhang Fengtian couldn't help but shudder. He had saved the governor and had connections with two other major families. However, if Lin Zhan was desperate enough to risk everything to see him dead, even Zhang Fengtian would be terrified.
Even more panicked, Li Bin stammered, "Then... should I put the needle back in?"
"Do you know where on the neck to insert it?" Lin Zhan bellowed.
Li Bin could only look to Zhang Fengtian, but his teacher's teeth were chattering. Of course, he knew acupuncture, but on the neck? He had never even heard of such a thing.
"I... I don't know where to insert it," Zhang Fengtian stammered, leaving Lin Zhan utterly helpless.
"Lin, calm down," Qin Zhengyang advised. "I believe my son-in-law can still save Little Mo."
Lin Zhan's eyes lit up as if in a sudden flash of insight. "Right, right, right! There's still your son-in-law. I'll go get him right now."
"Lin, let me go down with you to bring my son-in-law up," Qin Zhengyang suggested.
Lin Zhan nodded.
"I'll go too," Zhang Fengtian said hastily, a thoughtful look on his face. He wanted to become a disciple! He wanted to learn what methods the other man possessed to save Lin Mo. He wanted to learn it all.
Wu Tian, still carrying the little one, was searching for a restaurant. The child was young and many foods were unsuitable for her, making the search for a meal quite difficult.
"Son-in-law, hold on!"
Qin Zhengyang, Lin Zhan, and Zhang Fengtian had found him.
Lin Zhan never imagined that such a great master could be hidden away in the city. He immediately humbled his attitude and said, "Young man, I beg you, please lend us your aid once more and save my daughter."
"I have already treated her once," Wu Tian stated. "It seems she and I are not bound by fate. This must be her destiny. I never act a second time."
Panic seized Lin Zhan, and he shot a desperate look at Qin Zhengyang. Old friend, you have to help me.
Qin Zhengyang, of course, understood the meaning in his old friend's eyes. He sighed and said, "Son-in-law, please, consider this a request from your father-in-law. What do you think?"
My own father-in-law is asking. Wouldn't it be too heartless not to give her one more chance?
"Daddy, please save Sister Mo," the little one earnestly pleaded at that moment.
His father-in-law and his daughter have both spoken up. It seems the girl's life isn't fated to end today.
Wu Tian couldn't help but smile. "Alright. Since both my father-in-law and my treasure have spoken, I will grant her a chance to live."
Lin Zhan was overjoyed. Qin Zhengyang also nodded, though his internal confusion only deepened. The way Wu Tian spoke, as if he were God himself granting life as a matter of course, left Qin Zhengyang utterly perplexed.
Carrying his little girl, Wu Tian walked toward the hospital. His footsteps were light, and both Qin Zhengyang and Lin Zhan silently marveled at his extraordinary presence.
A gait that is too fast or too slow fails to display a person's temperament. A pace that is just right, however, can perfectly accentuate it. Wu Tian had achieved this, not through conscious effort, but with complete naturalness.
