Huaxia landscape painting, abbreviated as "landscape painting," is a type of Chinese painting primarily depicting natural landscapes. It originated during the Wei, Jin, and Northern and Southern Dynasties period, but had not yet completely separated from figure painting. It became an independent genre during the Sui and Tang dynasties and matured during the Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty, becoming an important category in Chinese painting.
Traditionally, based on painting style, it is categorized into green and blue landscapes, gold and blue landscapes, ink wash landscapes, light crimson landscapes, small green and blue landscapes, boneless landscapes, and others.
According to the soul consciousness absorbed by Ye Qiu, the essence of landscape painting is the spiritual energy; a landscape painting is not genuine without both form and spirit.
The East Ocean students in front of him had learned the form, but were far from capturing the spirit.
