Elizabeth had a strange feeling, her heart beating faster and faster, as if that person was right beside her.
"Elizabeth?" Maria reminded her again, and Elizabeth snapped back to reality, looking at Maria strangely.
"Wha-what's wrong?"
Maria rolled her eyes halfway and gestured with her eyes, signaling Elizabeth to play a piece on the piano.
Only then did Elizabeth remember that her aunt had just mentioned something like this to her.
Although Elizabeth used to perform music at these gatherings to liven things up, ever since she met Liu Chen, she didn't quite want to show her performance to others.
"Liu Chen hasn't seen me play the piano yet..."
Elizabeth whispered to herself, walked up to the piano, and sat down, her slender and fair fingers caressing the black and white keys.
The sound of the piano flowed out like running water, notes seemingly turning into substance, dancing and spinning along with Elizabeth's playing in the banquet hall.
