"Blood for blood!"
Qiu Yunxuan's expression was fierce as she glared at Prisoner B, squeezing the words through her clenched teeth.
Seeing this, Ye Xiu smiled. He had been worried about his aunt's misplaced compassion.
With a flick of his wrist, the fruit knife became a streak of cold light that plunged into Prisoner B's throat.
"Ye Xiu, thank you for avenging my parents and brother," Qiu Yunxuan said gratefully. Seeing Prisoner B breathe his last, she felt a surge of relief, as if a decade-long vendetta had finally been settled.
"The Qiu Family was only implicated because of me. Even though I have avenged them, I still owe them a debt," Ye Xiu said, his voice laced with guilt.
Qiu Yunxuan approached, stroking Ye Xiu's face. "Silly boy, don't blame yourself. If anyone's to blame, it's me for insisting on marrying your uncle all those years ago."
Ye Xiu sighed to himself. Such an understanding aunt only deepened his guilt.
