It all started as a simple romance- tradegy when a sad, lonely wondering ghost spurred his dieing desire into an event that changed the world forever... On one dark night.
The sky darker than ever casts it's shadow on the earth, obscuring the spark of the stars. The umbra full moon's grin which could not be hidden by the murky clouds hid away the shadows of the tall trees of the forest in its gloom. The creatures of the deep sea scurry to safety, hiding in the depths of the sea. The great beasts of the forest lurk in caves and dens too terrified to hunt preys. Only by the glimmer of light in their eyes will one be able to vaguely see their silhouette.
Down an obscure passageway in the little town of Aihe, a silhouette could be seen nearing a small house. Even though the watch lamp burned brightly, it's light didn't reach fifty centimetres on this black night. As the silhouette nears the lamp, it flickers dimming the fire. Cold air form a barrier around the silhouette which flashed into the small house. In the small house, it stops for a second then quickly flash into another room. In the room, an oil lamp sits on a table beside a bed on which slept two figures. By the light of the lamp, we finally see the figure of a man whose body looks almost transparent. Under the cloth he was wearing, one could clearly see his skeleton, a white glass urb shining inside his ribs_the soul urb of ghost which humans refer to as an energy core.
The ghost dashes swiftly into the body of one of the figures on the bed. The figure suddenly opened his eyes and sits up. The oil lamp shines warmly on the face of a handsome man of about forty years, his eyes strangely dark. The man, possessed turns to the other figure on the bed. Light moves up to show the very beautiful but cold face of a young woman whose looks could cause the fall of kingdoms. The man, possessed by the ghost sighed.
"Ye yeon, I have always loved you. But you are a flower that I have admired and died for."
He had possessed her husband for she was married and made love to her. As he leaves the body, he confesses to his lover whom he thought was asleep that she would bear his child, a being never once seen or heard of in the history of supernatural beings, a child born on such a gloomy night, a dark Lord.

After fifteen months, enduring fifteen hours of gruesome labour on a stormy night, Ye yeon bore a son whose existence she despised. A son who had an energy core in his heart.
As her life ebbed away slowly, on her birthing mat, she dug out the core and threw it out.
"I, Ye Yeon loathe you, child for the sins of your father. If he had not possessed my dear Yunsheng, my husband would still be alive" she spits out blood.
"Mother!" a young teenage boy moves closer to her. He trembles with grief, tearing streaming down his face uncontrollably. He sighs and sniff, trying to act strong but obviously failing to.
She ignores him.
" I name you Mo Hyun and curse you that all the days of your life be filled with darkness. May you never be accepted by the dead nor the living. May you live your days in loneliness." She laughs hysterically and wimpers, tears filling her eyes.
Her hysterical fits change to a soft, pained affection. Something ever mother would have.
"But, I also wish that you find redemption for I am still your mother. I wish I could love you but I love my husband too." She reaches forth in an attempt to caress his face. Her hands fall. She attempted to reach him again but still couldn't. She coughs and spit out a mouthful of blood then falls back weakly on the bed as she breathe her last breath.
Thunder roared, the storm ranged siphoning everything around up. It pulls off the roof of the birth house as the core pulling the urb towards itself. Another force comes from the forest flashing past everything at lightening speed towards the wind that was pulling the urb. Fire rushes out overtaking the wind as it engulfs the urb and flashes back to the forest never seen for many many years....
The ghost child left in the hands of his elder brother is forced to absorb energy from all forms of life to survive as he grows stronger and searches for his long lost life urb, a core that can will make him truly alive.
His brother died and his brother' s children and children's children's children. Until a prophecy was told of a girl that would find his core and marry him.
